yeah for the clear coat that you used, did it make it shiney?
okay ill try and find some. do yours scrap easily? because when i was installing the piece above the rear speaker covers i accidently hit it and it chipped .
I've had a few cans of the Rustoleum vinyl paint sitting around for a while. I too was going to do an all black interior until I I realized I can't afford black seats. I've been skeptical to rip the cloth off, dye it with rit dye, and put it back. I hate being poor.
I was counsidering to paint or even dye the seats but was conserned that maybe it wouldnt come out looking the way I wanted
I'm really loveing the door panels!
i did this mission/project to my whole interior after i wrecked my 2g 10 hours after having it out of the shop with a brand new fully built motor not even 30 miles on the build. Thankfully it was all cosmetic damage but after i ripped the front bumper back bumper side skirts and the right side mirror off in the accident i decided it was time for the all black interior to match the all black 2gb conversion i was putting on after the wreck. I followed a guide on interior restoration on supraforums i cant remember the member on here who linked me to it im pretty sure he is the guy that has "Crankwalker" and "boost gets you laid" on his valve cover/spark plug cover. His name might be DSM_BOY ? he did the awd conversion and he has one of the cleanest 2gs ive seen very very good guy. Ill look him up later but i followed his steps and i have not had one chip scratch scuff or fade since reinstalled. Only thing id advise is to just spring for new carpet or either find carpet from a part out or stock interiors dot com there is another website i have it saved to my favorites at home but the painting/dying the carpet id stay away from not only will it fade and wear out, wait till the winter if you drive your car in the winter and you get the snow/salt mixture on there one drop will take it almost back to the color it was. Enough rambling ill post pics when i get off
