can somebody that works with bullyseye please pm me i have a few questions regarding hx40 hot side. thank you

Matt :thumb: that thing looks friggin wicked! Am I gonna get to see this beast this weekend when Im home?

Would be crazy to see an hx35 in the 10s. Would you also be the first jackal user to touch 10s if you do?/QUOTE]

Im pretty sure we will see and hx35 in the 10s in not to long. If hes runnin damn near 10s with a 16g, it cant be too far out before we see it!

Not even.

I know Dave was running bottom 10.0s in his daily driver with a 4yr old off the shelf journal bearing GT35. I believe there are other Jackal guys running 10s as well.

Thanks for all the comments!

The CAI is a hacked up 4" diesel exhaust :sneaky:

The fan shroud was trimmed by the compressor outlet and has about half an inch of clearance. This is with the vband compressor outlet with a different tight radius elbow welded to it thanks to a local who is incredibly gifted at welding aluminum. The lower radiator hose had to be routed a bit differently to clear the charge pipe but everything worked out pretty slick. Moving the turbo down pretty far and tucking it underneath the water pipe helped clear some space, too.

Let me know when you are back around, Tom. I always seem to hear about it after the fact :p

Has any one ran a Holset with a Topmount?

I just picked up a 7 blade hx40 pro, and had a few questions. This will be going on my 97 gsx, and I'm wondering what, if any, manifold will allow me to use the stock fans, and not have to get slim lines. I've heard that with the hx40, you have to get them. I'm wanting to keep the T3 18cm wastegated divided housing, but now that I re-read that, I don't know if I'll be able to because I'm also wanting to use my external wastegate.

Basically, I'm new to the holset stuff, and figured I'd throw up this question so that I can get some help whilst I spend the next 4 days reading the other holset threads.

I'm currently setting up a bolt-on hx40 on my 1g. I was able to get the stock 1g passenger side fan to stay in with a 2g manifold, but I had to hack the crap out of my fan. I had to remove the complete lower driver's side support for the fan and hack away a little bit off some blades. I have finals right now so I don't have much time to get this turbo setup running. Once I do, I will post up pics of my install with a -12 an return. I'm not sure how much room a 1g has up front vs. a 2g.

At work so no log but a photobucket shot of my 70-90 time

I got bored and decided to polish up my Galants 14b 7cm housing and the Talons compressor housing...

:shhh::cool:

Now to get that pesky hotside ceramic coated... :sneaky:

If your still looking to get the hotside coated I would recommend
Papke''s Custom Repairs, LLC. They just did my comp housing, turbine housing, manifold and o2 housing. great turn around time and reasonably priced.

MR Peepers this is very nice. Can't wait to see what it can do after 3500rpm.ROFL Wondering how deep it might go into the tens.:shhh:

Thank you :)

I would be happy with 10.999 I don't really plan on using anything besides street tires so it'll be a little more tricky.

Got the wastegate done, finally. Took a bit longer since I wanted to have it routed back into the exhaust and make stuff a little more accessible. Holds 10 psi(wastegate spring) until about 6k then creeps to 15 psi or so by 7. Probably the last time it will see anything less than 20 psi anyway :) Should have some time tomorrow to mess with the boost and see where my 1000's run out of fuel. Gonna be hard to sleep tonight and a long day at work...

^You used a single wastegate? I love your setup a big thanks for the video.

And this is from a guy that might not see a hx again in 2-3 yrs.

Wastegate provisions installed!!!!:D Can I please get another video when you get it dialed in!!! Can't wait to see how it pulls through those RPM's. Good stuff!!! Can't wait to see another VID.OMG

MAP sensor says 22 and the 5 year old boost gauge says 25 psi. I know I should trust the MAP but it certainly doesn't feel like 22 :p Starting to run out of injector safety margin so have to keep it as it is until I can find something larger. The car should be at the shootout next weekend and I will probably be taking it down the track just to see where it sits.

I will try to get some video up before then.

I'm inheriting an H1C soon and need to find a housing for it. Where are you guys sourcing your .55 bolt on housings from? It's gone back and forth as to what vendors actually have them in stock. But, in May it looks like people were getting theirs within a few days. Where were these people getting them from?

It's been mentioned that they were discontinued... then some people were still able to get them... What's the word?

Thanks

I can get them for you. pm me for details..

I have had my holset HX35 with the BEP housing for a while now, I was having boost and spool issues with my internal wastegate because the WG flapper would bind up really bad. So I spent the money and went external. It spools great now but I still cant get the boost low enough for pump gas! With a Tial 38mm wastegate with a 10 pound spring, I have 10 psi by 3800 RPM or so and then by 5000 RPM Im at 25psi (or more) sometimes its sooner then 5K, depends on teh gear. Its ridicuouls though. I wish I could run 25psi on pump, but its just not going to happen. Any ideas? Im probably going to have to pull the turbo again and port out the WG hole. Anyone have any good pics of this? Thanks

Why cant you run 25psi with an HX35? All you need is enough fuel and timing control.

For whatever reason my car knocks like crazy above 20psi on pump gas. It just doesnt like it. I dont have any timing control at the moment. I am running DSMchips EPROM to compensate for my injectors and then a SAFC to fine tune the A/F ratio on my wideband.
