My CEL comes on sometimes when I hit 15+ psi of boost and goes off when i let off the throttle. It only happens sometimes. There is never any knock when the CEL comes on or anything out of the ordinary. I don't know what code it is throwing b/c i cant pull up the dtc's in the short time it is on. Does anyone have any ideas what this code could be???
 
I know I'm new to this but maybe coolant temp?
motor heats up while you boosting,rtip the coolant level temp you have your link set to then cools off.

if im wrong then im sorry just throwing out an idea

LOL no def not coolant temp... thats a logical guess but its one of the main displayed values in dsmlink and thats def not it...

i have my knock CEL set to 2degrees...
 
Can you post a log of the problem? If your CEL is set to trip at 2 degrees of knock, and it's coming on with boost, it makes sense that you're knocking.

ya so my buddy is obviously retarded b.c he was logging for me when i was doing the pulls and he said there wasnt any knock and i just checked it and i hit 12 degrees of knock... now i have to fix this problem.. idk y it would be knocking though i have my afr's between 11-12.5 when i am boosting... do u think i should make them richer???

12 deg WTF , depending on what you have your CEL to flash at for knock, letting off the throttle should be the first thing you do when you see that CEL come on.

Yes, richening it up would be a good start. May depend on setup but that seems on the lean side. Alot tune for around 11 to 1 but every setup can be different. 12.5 to 1 is defently on the lean side if your just running reg pump fuel. Air/fuel doesn't typically make as much power as timing so some opt to go abit richer then 11:1 as well. I'd start in the 10.5-11 range & go from there.

ya i know 12 degrees is ALOT of knock... i just richened up the fuel sliders a little bit and did a few pulls.. I'm running about 10.2:1 at WOT and no CEL at 22psi so i hope thats all i needed to do was give it a little more fuel...
