I had another thread on this but never resolved it. My car doesn't want to boost past 20 psi. My hallman MBC is turned all the way up and i have a tial 44mm with a 1.1 bar spring. Now if i'm not mistaken shouldn't my car be able to easily boost up to 30+ psi with this spring?? I haven't tried running the wastegate yet w/o the boost controller connected but what else could cause this problem? could it be my greddy type s bov with the stock spring?? idk let me know what u guys think. oh and also i have a pte 6262.

1 bar is 14.7 psi i think and if your spring is 1.1 bar then you can double that so your correct 30psi should be able to be obtained

do a boast leak test to see if your BOV is indeed leaking -- i wouldnt think that BOV would start to leak till at least 25psi but i may be wrong

if your boost leak test comes back fine then id look into that wastegate

i did a boost leak test and it holds up to 40psi with w/o the boost controller connected and the wastegate is brand new so i doubt that is the problem... but im going to try to run the wastegate with an open side port tom. and see if that does anything b/c i think my MBC might be bad..

sounds like it s pointing to your MBC -- if the wastegate is brand new then maybe its faulty but looks like a MBC

if a blt came up neg, i would look into fule and then management.it sounds like a bov leak, which if it big enough will throw u off.

its not getting fuel cut or anything and its tuned pretty good, and ya it might be a bov leak

ya im leaning towards the MBC, ill do some more test and check back
