Anyone heard anything on a Evo 11 being made? I heard something about them being AWD hybrid but I'm sure its all smoke right now. I would love to know if anyone knows, I tried to search in google but nothing came up.

Fine as long as they keep the standard 4g63 variant in my book. If not the world may truely be coming to an end in 2012....

Aww not shit?

#### the evoX then. I didnt like before because it is ugly.

Now I really don't like it. Mitsubishi can kiss my big white ass. BTW Mitsubishi your TVs SUCK!

Yeah aluminum blocks are shit.

Case in Point from my own expierance.

Saturn Turboed vs Turbo DSMs

Saturn Aluminum Block and Head VS DSM Cast Iron Block and Alum Head

Saturn Turboed and Supporting Mods ~ 200-220 HP vs DSM Stock 205 (Slightly Modified 250)

BUILT ASS Saturn Motor can push 350 vs Built Ass DSM 600 whp and up

Why is the Saturn so much lower? Air flow for 1 and the saturn block can only stand up to so much abuse. Its a weaker metal.

OH SNAP, you got thread jacked.
back on topic
i think the instant toque would be good for it, but those batteries weigh.... a lot.

The 4B11 in the EVOX has been proven to be quite the motor...

You're comparing a 1.9l econobox motor to a performance oriented 4g63. No kidding the 4g63 can handle more, thats what it was designed to do.

The 4b11t has been proven to be perfectly capable of handling power comparable to the 4g63.

The 4B11 is an awesome engine.

Personally i don't think there's a current production 4cyl that can touch it.

Mitsu would be insane to make the Evo XI a hybrid. It's a niche car, and adding batteries would then mean it could be marketed to absolutely no one.

Its not an econobox motor unless you call a N/A 4g63 econobox as well.

And its kinda like I dont give a shit how much power the 4b11 can make. Its not a 4g63. Its a 4b11 and a bastard child.

^^^ Dude, the 4g63 has been around for ever! Not saying it's not a great motor, because it is. There's a reason I have a couple. But seriously, it was first introduced likely before you were born. It's very old, and when things get that old, they really should be replaced if the competition is taking off or getting away. Like take the Fox body Mustangs. Been around from the 70's to 93. Do you know how dated the 93 Mustang was compared to every other single freakin car at the time? Anyway, I think the 4b11 was due for it's entry. Not saying the 4g63 was out dated, but if Mitsu held on to it for the Evo 10 and 11, maybe 12, there'd be some issues there.

Anyway back to the 11 or the original thread. I already think the Evo is dead to me, as well as the Eclipse. I am getting an Evo 9 when I can find one, and a 2gb clean GSX when I can find one and never selling them afterwards. The Mitsu's are the same anymore. I've drive an Evo X, and it was very smooth, luxurious, quiet and pretty. Not what an Evo should be.

You would rather Mitsubishi used a motor with more than 20 years of service? the 4g63t is an awesome engine but it is significantly behind the times because it was designed more than two decades ago.

That is true, but things can be updated to technology of today and still be based off the same design. It just isn't the same because the platform isn't.. Its like taking a corvette and re-designing it and putting a twin turbo 6 cylinder platform in it that makes the same power as the engines in them today, just more up to PAR with technology.. It would not be the same car, just like the X isn't the same as a traditional Evo. Me being a Evo owner, it angered me when the X came out. People were so up and ready to sell their Evo 8's and 9's for the X and didn't even put into consideration the fact of it being a completely different car. Where is the passion in that?

Its still a 4 cylinder turbo its not changed that much. Kinda like saying it was a bad idea for corvette to go all aluminum stead of cast iron, and from going from the old 5.7 to 6.0. Things have to change if you want to move up and improve.

IMO, the evo X is ugly and a overweight, and I expect the next generation to be just the same. Give me an 8rs, throw in a set of poly bushings and cage and call it a day. I like em' rough and bone-jarring. The X is just too nice/ugly/heavy LOL, and paddle shifters are g@y.

This whole post- :notgood:

Ya alum blocks are sh*t, that's why everyone's building them now. You think efi is sh*t cause they aren't carb'ed? Iron blocks are old technology, just look at GM's LSx motors. Your just being plain ignorant. :banghead:

On topic, a hybrid evo would fail so bad it wouldn"t be funny.

While i agree that the X is too heavy, i couldn't disagree more about paddles.

Shifting in milliseconds, perfect rev-matched downshifts with no heel & toe, and the ease of an auto when you want to relax. When they are adapted to take real power, sign me up.

my problem with the paddles is the lack of a clutch.... why don't they make a tranny that's like a dirtbikes, clutchless shifting but you still have a clutch:hellyeah:
