First things first, this thread is not for discussions or questions. If you have a question please ask it in the Site Feedback forum in a new thread or an existing relevant thread. This thread is for suggesting a member to be featured on our homepage. We will delete all replies that are not a suggestion.

Now, in order to suggest a member to be featured you must do so using the following format. You can suggest yourself or other members. But you must make sure the member in question meets the following requirements:

- The member should be doing something (or have done something) noteworthy, like; run a really fast 1/4 mile time with a certain set up, competing in a racing series, won a championship of some kind, was recognized in a magazine, was the first to try something different and was successful, has contributed in some substantial way to the DSM community, or has done something else that is worth recognizing. We don't want to just feature any member with a nice looking car. There should be some substance to why they're being featured.

- They must be a member of the site. If they aren't you should ask them to register. If John Shepherd can take the time to register an account here there's no reason why someone else can't. There will be no emphasis on post count or registration date. But we would rather feature someone who is active on our site if possible.

- They must have at least 3 photos of their car in the gallery. People want to see photos of the car. If they don't have gallery photos you'll need to ask them to upload some.

- Their profile should be filled out with their mod list. If it's not you should request that they do so before suggesting them.

Once the member meets these requirements, you can post a reply to this thread with the following information:

1. The Member's name

2. A link to the member's profile

3. A short summary as to why you think they should be featured - include something that they've accomplished, something notable they're doing, or some way they've contributed to the betterment of the DSM community.

That's it! Suggest someone!

Here's the archive for the past featured members:

I do not want to sound arrogant but i want to suggest myself. I have a 1997 Mitsubishi RS-T that i have been working on for quiet some time now. I have done all the work out of my own pocket and have tried to do a lot the work myself. I have an audio sponsorship named Trafik Jamz who helped me out with the audio and also Tintmasters Motorsports here in fargo,nd who have helped me out a ton in the designing and execution of my car...they have done the work to my car that I do not have to knowledge to do. I feel my eclipse is unique because of the clean look I have went for, this eclipse is not made to get all flashy with graphics and big wings...to each his own i have respect for that just not my thing. Anyways, i feel I have chosen the elite parts out there for my car(Bomex/Tein/Carbing/Rays) just to name a few and my car has done very well at the shows in my region but now this upcoming season i am taking the car to the national level in hopes for NCCA Best Mitsubishi, a main contributor to my car has been this forum I have several times asked for advice and have recieved information that I have used so i would love to take home the award and dedicate it to this board for all the support!

I was unable to load my complete list of modifications on my profile so here it is

For the past three years he has been sponsored by Extreme PSI and competed in the Nopi Drag series, taking 2nd place in points in 2007 and 2008. Even though Nopi may not be around anymore, he still has plans to compete in a series this upcoming race season. The car is down for the winter with a custom aluminum rod motor in the works. I feel that he deserves to be a featured member as he is one of few DSM'ers that is always out there racing an extremely clean car that he built and tuned himself. Currently, him and his Father are building a 4G63 dragster that you can learn more about here: Welcome to Turbo4.com

His current fastest time is: 9.993 @ 140.590

This season, on Kumho all season tires he went: 10.06 @ 144 !

I origionally bought my 97 GSX with plans for a stock build 6 bolt swap and an evo316g. After long nights on the web reading about everything I could about DSMs my modest plan turned into a fully built 2.3 stroker T4 turbo'd 500hp/11second daily driver. I didn't have the money to make my dream happen but Andre at Pina took me on at his shop for work in exchange for parts/service where I spent long nights (and I mean LONG) for near a year making my ambitions a reality. Currently I've ran 11.3@126 at Pacific Raceway in Washington on pump gas and street tires. Future goals are a full race tune on C16 at 40+psi boost and hoping to break the 700whp marker and dip into low 10s and just maybe kiss some high 9s. I intend on regular participation in the season this year since last year my car was only finished in time for the last track day of the season.

We have watched Paul's car change so very much over the last few years from a GST to a GSX to now a rare compound turbo set up. I believe he has a one of a kind car now that deserves a spot on the front page.

Hi everyone,

I would truly love for Wendy to be on the front page. The car should be running this weekend and then off to the dyno. She was really dishearted when the car wasn't anywhere close to being done for the 2010 calendar. I do know that I have no say in whether she makes it or not but I did want to add my thoughts. She has been a member on this board since 03 and is a die hard DSMer! We own only DSMs currently. Our son "Brent" has a 91 talon FWD auto, I "Brad" drive 1707/2000 GVR4, and of course her 91 Eclipse FWD 5spd. She even has the tatoo to prove her obsession. Just my .02.

Thank you all for what you have done to make this dream a reality and all the phenomenal words of encouragement.

Best wishes,
Brad Pate

I suggest DSM-ZERO.

DSM Forums - View Profile: DSM-ZERO

I know a lot of the people in the DSM community and even some of the Mods don't take too kindly to the 420A DSM crowd. Be that as it may, I suggest DSM-ZERO for setting the record for the 420A on the dynomometer. He hit 661HP and 463TQ. He hasn't quite learned how to drive the beast yet, but he's well on his way to proving the 420A is worth it's salt. I think this is a benchmark for the "other" guys, showing that if you build it, it will go vrooom! ZERO has been an inspiration to a lot of the NA guys, myself included, and I think most of the 420A community will agree.

I'd like to nominate dave99gst as hes been a heck of a member for contributing to the forums and is a very down to earth guy. I feel that his 4g63 powered sand rail buggy is a hell of a machine and deserves to be recognized. Hes the only guy I know that managed to mate a 4g63 up to a vw trans and have it be successful. He dares to be different.

Also to not forget, Paul Volk deserves a spot as his car has gone under serious reconstruction and has built a very successful compound turbo set up that was doubted time and time again and he continued to push through with the build and prove it works and turned out to be quite a head turner.

Didn't Paul (99gst_racer) have a ton of votes awhile back? Not sure why he hasn't been featured yet, he's got more blood sweat money and tears into his car than the majority of this site! Not to mention his compound setup is just nasty.:hellyeah:

Here's my nomination for our next featured member.

1. 99gst_racer (Paul)

2. 99gst_racer's profile

3. Paul has been a contributing member to this site since 2003, helping fellow DSM'rs and bringing new ideas to the table. Notibly his Compound Turbo Setup and his help in the AWD Conversion thread.

Matt Morrison (a.k.a. Mr.Peepers)

DSM Forums - View Profile: Mr Peepers

He's been a member for quite some time. As well as being a member he's also a DSM Wiseman from a average city in Southern WI.

The work he's done is incredible with very little resources at hand. Running incredible times on very little bolt'ons which I think is just rediculous. He's extremely wise and very knowledge about with most of the "dsm tuning products" on the market as well as fabricating most things from scratch.

That being said he's one of the 1st people to build his own manifold for the Holset HX35 stock twin scroll housing. The thing is just incredible!!! I'm sure for all those Holset lovers you've seen his work in the Holeset thread. I think he's well worth of being nominated for the next featured member.

I suggest - Ricky Nichols (Dacowgod)

DSM Forums - View Profile: Dacowgod

I would like to nominate Ricky, for his community support!!

He is greatly known in the-area for his excellent tuning skills & proficient knowledge of the vehicles we all here love to drive.

He is always willing to lend a hand to a fellow DSMer in need, from working with vehicles in Maryland, Pennsylvania, & West Virginia to even making a trip from West Virginia to Georgia to help rebuild a engine in response to someone requesting help on the forums!!!!

He has built over 30 DSM Engines from stock 4G63s to Wild setups and personally made over 600 AWHP his own vehicle.

VOTE FOR DACOWGOD!!!:thumb:
