Im wondering what you guys think could "spice" up the interior look of my 2g.
I want it to look more modern and up to date but at the same time not looking rice.

any inputs?

This may be a little bit rice to you, but in my interior I got an Flip Out touch screen head unit that is also a DVD player. LCD screen in the passenger side vanity mirror, and and LCD screen in the back of each seat. I am thinking about painting my trim inside my car to match the exterior. Also, I feel like a good sound system is a must for a nice interior

I bought the car like this, but plan to modernize the interior a bit more.

Swap in the interior of the later model GSX's. They have a nice two tone setup. It's not gaudy, but not boring.

yeah I just installed my alpine system(radio, speakers, subs, tweeters) and I plan on getting some gst/x leather seats and re-doing the headliner to black.

what do you guys think about reverse glow gauges for the cluster?

Haha you know as soon as I got done replying in my earlier post, I was like "Dang, I forgot to tell him about the Reverse Glow Gauges." I think this is a great mod for the interior since really, it is something you look at A LOT while your in your car. Might as well make it be something desirable to look at huh? I'd highly recommend em for your car's interior. I bought mine off of slickcar.com

reverse glow! :hellyeah: (if this was 1995).. ROFL do the red led lights for your cluster and all the inside light change the rearview mirror lights to led's bright arctic white same for the trunk and kick panels.. an evo steering wheel seats and new black carpet wouldnt hurt..

haha i was thinking about the leds, but it seems really hard and you can mess up very easily. how hard is it?

and yes the mighty EVO steering wheel. I would love to get it but anyone know where I can get one? and what other modifications do i need to do to make it work?

so i just rip out the cluster and take out the old bulbs? is there any place local that will carry the leds?

I actually just used red bulbs in mine instead of leds and it works fine. I was able to get the bulbs locally and they were cheaper than ordering the leds... helps that half my bulbs were burnt out and needed to be replaced anyway.

I'd like more info on installing an EVO steering wheel. Is it a direct fit?

What color is your car? I work in Lansdale and live in Perkasie and I don't think I know you.

I just put black carpet in mine. I also recovered my headliner and door cards in suede.

Everyone is talking about the evo steering wheel...what about the seats! The evo seats look GREAT in a 2g! As soon as I find a busted up one I'm gonna swap mines!

You could re-cover some of your interior pieces like I did. Im in the process of doing the whole car. Keep your eye out for a thread soon.

Im probably gonna scrap this piece in the pic cause its a little too ricey for my tastes. I just did it the other night cause i was bored and had all the supplies to do it. it really didnt turn out too bad at all. The raised stuff looks a little white cause there was still chalk dust on there when i took the pic. I used it to find any indents that I might have forgotten to glue down.

what is the difference between the 99 cluster and any other? Also I've heard that you cant retain the air bag with the evo wheel. If that were the case id just go and buy the momo wheel that looks like the evo. Less stuff to deal with.

99's are the only year to have silver faced gauges from the factory.

OP ... Yes you need the 1G steering wheel center to be soldered in the EVO steering wheel
Other than that was an easy swap

P.E.P. ... Mine has the numbers, the MR knob is the one without the numbers and white stitching

The '99 gauge cluster is missing in that pic
