I was thinking, what was everything into before the wanderful world of DSMs? As in what were you driving/modding/tuning/racing/whatever. :)

i was into v8 muscle cars, i got tired of being shit on by the local talons and honda's so i got a laser turbo now i feel the dominate feeling how they felt when they dusted me.

I was working out all the time playing basketball, lifting weights, walking, boxing.
Now I'm just fat and lazy sad story.

I was into rx7's, these are light, fast lil suckers. :hellyeah:

I was always a ford guy.87-93 ford mustangs never liked the sport compacts. then I got a girl with a brother that had a 91 eclipse gsx with like 10,000 into it. One ride in that, And I'm hooked never looked back.

LOL, nice.

i had never thought much of eclipses/talons...and was trying to get into big lifted trucks and junk...got the talon, and never looked back!

...we just happened 2 both add "and never looked back" i didnt mean to copy, LOL

I was into low riding show trucks(aka Mini trucks)..Had 3 chevys that were all slammed. Last one was bagged. Talk about pain in the ass...

i can never decide what i like best. I'v had an suv packed with high dollar sound equipment, a dropped mini truck, lifted mini truck, and a full sized ford. Honestly i just couldn't afford the gas in the ford truck and the eclipse is the first stick shift i came across with a 4 banger. I can say im very pleased with it though. The dsm is a whole different community than the southern mud trucks that im used to.

i had a 3g eclipse that i worked on, made it pretty, then discovered it wouldnt ever be fast w/o investing at least $10,000

I had an 87 TransAM with a SB Chevy and a 100 shot of nitrous. Then I bought my eclipse and cut my mullet off!!!:D

I almost fell out of my chair AND pissed myself laughingROFL:DLOL

Awww, come-on, I bet somebody loves ya. We all get old, fat, and happy. I'm a slow, balding stoner. I'm OK with it. My DSMs make me laugh with happiness.

I used to be an air-cooled VW guy. 1700 Lbs. with a tank full of gas. 75 HP never felt so fast. Except maybe in a CRX. Those things (VWs) used to be SO cheap to keep running. Currently, the exchange rates have screwed-up all of that. I still have the car, it's just totally dis-assembeled for a complete restoration. I need to weld it all back together still. Haven't gotten around to it yet. I can buy a whole 1G DSM to keep me going for the price of the paint-job I'm gonna have to put on that Bug.

I was into computers, and geeky tech in general. Then I got my first taste of boost at 16. That quickly turned me into a gear head. Later on to support my habit I ended up joining the Army. And I am still at it...

The usual asian stuff, Honda's. Come on now, 4 cylinder n/a with less then 2.0 liters pulling on v8's and dusting eclipses that needed a turbo, what's not to like.
I can't really distinguish why people hated honda's, rice I understand. But it's the back bone of imports before evo's and subies got out to the regular enthusiast hands! No matter what people say, I'm pretty sure they got dusted by a honda motor once or twice, lawnmower or not! This thread itself lays claim to those whom lost to a honda!
Proud to say my first car was a 1.6 vtec, 4cyl, ecobox ej1honda civic! Fun pulling on turbo cars(starion's/dsm) and guys with .4liters, 1 camshaft 2 cylinders more!
The single cam moto "One man, One cam, One dream! Break into 13's" Honda FTW!

Well Ive been into dsms since I was 16, started off with a 95 gs, then finally, got into turobo, then AWD, its a process...LOL

It was all about the four wheelers, trails and dunes...

Still have it but can't ride all that much being at school.

I was into GM Muscle but now my Camaro is on the back burner since I bought my Eclipse GS-T.Oh & by the way I sold my lifted 1990 Ford F-150 & bought my 1998 Eclipse GS-T.

I was into DB Drags/SPL competitions. We used to use a Honda Civic hatch and compete in the "1-2 street" class and eventually the "3-4 street" class. I originally picked up a '95 Eclipse GS to build a better competition car out of it. After 9 months, I lost complete interest in car audio and decided I wanted to go fast instead. And being that I loved my 2G, I sold the GS and bought my '99 GST. The rest is history. ;)

Motocross....13 years of it. Competed at least once in every season from 1992 to 2004.

I loved it to death- won tons of trophies and plaques, met a HUGE array of great people (and some assholes), and broke lots of bones (9); but it was seriously all worth it even though I was never good enough to become a top racer. If I could go back to the age when I started, I would do it all over again.

I was the same, raced mx from 5th grade all the way until I graduated high school. I rode almost everyday or every other day, was racing all up and down the west coast. Got to the top 5 in novice where I live and then broke my jaw riding and couldn't get back into it after.. I was sponsored by monster/pro circuit/kawasaki of SB and a grip load of other companies. Had a fully built bike build from the ground up by pro circuit, had everything from a fully built motor to suspension etc etc etc. Sadly I was into pre-runners, had a 93 f150 with 4.5" over beams, fiberglass, gears, coilovers front and back, deavers, HO 5.0 mustang engine etc. Now its all back to stock and my dad uses it occasionally.
