He was referring to a horizontally mounted catch can... the rest is self explanatory.

I've had two people now tell me about how they had twin turbo Talons.

The most recent happened at a Kwik Trip where a guy came up to me as I pulled in to tell me nice car and nice rims. My rims are fugly black with a bright red lip they might look good on another car but my maroon Spyder is not complimented by them. He asked me what was under my hood and I said not much just some intercooler piping, and a bov. He goes "yeah you sounded really good coming in you must have some crazy stuff under the hood". "Err, not really its mostly stock". At this point I was getting uncomfortable because he was blocking my door from opening so I could get out and I had both laptops in my bag on my lap while I was getting a bad vibe from him. "Well I had a talon but I sold it. It had a JDM Eclipse engine that came stock with twin turbos. The JDM Eclipses have a different engine bay so I had to do some custom work to get the engine and turbos to fit. I also had a big body kit and Lambo doors. I spent about $70k on that thing." At this point I just felt awkward and replied "Cool, I've only got about $2k in mine and most of that was maintenance parts." His reply was "Yeah, well I got ripped off a bunch." In a tone of voice that implied it was cool.

I felt weird for the rest of the day.

Twin turbos , I've had 2 people tell me that they've had twin turbo talons.

A guy I work with was telling me how his old Dodge Avenger was real fast and that it had the same motor as my car, to which I responded, "eh.... I don't think so, they shared the 420a motor of the second generation eclipses" to which he said, "no they're the same"

So we go over to my car and I pop the hood for him. He's like, "Yep that's the exact same motor I had besides the turbo." ...... I didn't say anything.

My dad (mopar guy) told me that turbo's are awesome until they blow and shoot out the front bumper . I didn't say anything.

! My buddy was out at the local meet spot and he said there was a guy there with a 1g who was venting his BOV. But instead of the usual venting he had the hose coming off the BOV routed over and shooting onto the air filter, said it worked fine .

Haha. Nice. My buddy and I were at this Sonic meet abotu 15 minutes from where we live, and the guys there we skulking at my friends evo for about 3-4 minutes. Finally, one comes up to me and asks, "you on the football team?" (refering to my college i attended last year). I said no, but i know a little bit about it. After that the rest of them sorda drift over and one asks my buddy, what do you got done? To which my friend says " everything," in a serious voice with a smile. And they are like cool cool. And, then we start going off what he has in it, and they just keep staring at us like, ?

It was funny to say the least.

Today I had some kid, while staring under my hood, point at my air filter and ask
"Are you running a mass air flow or CAI?"
And I've got an engine outta a wrecked car, so there are numbers written on the timing belt cover, one of which says "2.0L"
And then (while still looking under the hood) "How big is your engine?"

I was at the detroit auto show this past winter looking at a brand new s2k with all my friends when some guy came up and said " theyre still running dual cams? Why dont they have the quad cams yet?"

The dumbest thing DSM related thing that i have ever heard or seen sadly was something I did.

My first DSM was a 93 Eclipse N/T. I had it for a few months. Anyways I was at the mall one day and this person in a riced out Neon (full body kit, fart can exhaust, wing. i think you get the point) walks up to me and ask me if it was for sale, and he made me an offer of 1400 so i said sure. A Few weeks later I was putting gas in my truck and I see this riced out 1g pull in. I was laughing to myself because it was poorly painted and looked like crap. The guy gets out of his car and i was like is that the guy i sold my Eclipse to? Sure enough it my was car but he had already gone ricer on it. (full body kit barely hanging on, spoiler and some other crappy aftermarket parts). He gets out of the car and sees me and smiles and says: Hey, what do you think? looks great doesn't it?
I never regretted selling a car more. I should have known what he was gonna do by looking at his Neon.

The second dumbest thing i ever did was buy a civic or wait that's the dumbest thing I have ever done.
