So i got my gauge, and it worked great except it would stick, sent it in, got a new one and that one worked good for a couple days. Now the thing works like a peak and hold, itll go up to like 65 psi and hold....even at idle. If it gets higher like on the highway itll goto 80 and then when i get off its still at 80!? I have no major leaks, a small drip but nothing big at all. Then today i redid all my lines. They are all grounded down well and tight, and everything. So anyone have any ideas?

Perhaps it's your sender? How did you mount it? I won't defend Glowshit's quality. My fuel pressure sender crapped out on me pretty quickly as well. At least their customer service is good.

I took out the stock pressure sender and put it in there, i called them and they are sending a new one to me. Ugh the third one though, so yea im thinking it might be the sender. If anything im going with prosport...

You should remote mount them. If not vibrations from the engine can easily kill an aftermarket sender.

Hmm, well when i did my turbo swap i plugged in 2 of my spark wires backwards and it was idleing and shaking really bad, maybe this is what did it. Anyhow they are sending me a new one that shoud be here today or tomorrow. So hopefully that should fix it, but if it doesnt, How do i "remote mount" it?

I'm waiting for the weather to clear up so I can test my Glowshift sender. My gauge just sits maxed out, so I don't know if it's wiring or the sender itself. It used to work great.

If it's the sender, Glowshift will be getting a call.

I can't really comment on how long it lasted though, because I bought it used.

EDIT: I do like how that Jay Racing kit includes the correct adapter for the 1/8" NPT. I ended up screwing fitting that was close into it.

Hey goon, yours may be a ground issue if it just reads full the whole time. Check your ground and makesure its clean, if it looks ok, try running new wire. If still no luck maybe the sender, mine should be here tomorrow i hope....ill let u no if it fixs my problem.

I'm thinking it's a grounding issue, too. My girlfriend borrowed my car last week after bending a rim on her car. So I didn't have my car when it was nice, and now it's 35* and snowing. It's supposed to get back into the low 50s over next weekend so I'll check it then.

Try remote mounting it, the vibration kills the senders.

I used glow shift gauges on my eclipse for about 2 years(boost, oil pressure, pyrometer) and only the pyrometer went bad cause it melted. I have been happy with them

These senders are basically variable resistors. The higher the pressure, the more resistance it generates. If it is a broken ground, it will read infinite resistance or max on the gauge. My fuel pressure sender was dying. Above a certain psi it would read max fuel pressure. Only on decel when the vac was much lower than idle did it read right. Their warranty is for 1 full year. I'm rushing to install all my gauges in already since the end of the warranty is coming up this September. Since you bought yours used, unfortunately I don't think you will be covered by the warranty.

I had crap CS and crap gages from them.

Wont get another product of theirs

Yeah, I doubt it would be. I'm pretty sure it's just a bad ground. We already have 3" of snow here with another 4-8" expected, so I'm not going to be working on the car for a little while.
But at least the sender is cheap.
Replacement Oil Pressure Sender Unit - $13 + shipping (about $10 for me).

yeah i just bought an oil pressure gauge kit from them and it went bad in a months time (wont read below 49psi) so i called this morning and they told me to send it back to them and they will take care of it... ive ran their boost gauge for a year now and no problems,
a cause for the oil sender going wrong would be that i mounted it to the housing so when i get the new one ill remote mount it instead.

Glowshifts senders are Rubbish!
I went with the prosport oil pressure, boost and water temp...Work great and the sending units are nice and small and utilize sealed plug~n~play harnesses:thumb: unlike glowshifts Ginormous senders with the exposed rust away screw caps..:barf:

Yea, mine is out of stock at the moment, they forgot to tell me this UGH! So now monday a new one should be going out to me, im sure my send is bad. Heres another idea, it worked fine, but then i tightened it down a little when i put in my 16g just to make sure it was tight. Now its reading higher...think i tightened it TOO much?

Replacement Oil Pressure Sender Unit

I don't know about you but they seem to look the same. Also highly questionable.

my apologies I didn't order the basic oil pressure gauge...I ordered the premium peak warning sets they have .all the senders are nice small and sealed....but yes all the senders I got with the glowshift oil and fuel pressure where like those..
my friend got their digital oil pressure and with the car off and acc on the gauge spikes from 0 to 13 psi. weird.

My buddy ordered Prosport and i was like, dang they look exactly the same, just different name in the middle and lens..... but i still havent gotten my replacement in. The car is in the shop, im having my tranny fixed.

Interesting. The premium sender uses voltage instead of ohms as the signal. I wondered if they realized the sender crapped out a lot and went with voltage instead.
