Marti at VIP garage is the guy to talk to. Good prices and knows his shit. He's on here a godo amount just do a search they have a whole thread called "borgwarner s200(s256) review"
I didn't have to dent my water pipe nor did my buddy on his S362. Great fitments, rock solid turbos.
Boost recovery (without no lift to shift) is next to instant. Boost recovery doesn't exist with the NLTS - it stays spinning all the time. Siiiiiiiiiiick.
Droppinbottom - I can't get your "link to dynosheet" to work.
I'm always interested in seeing what these things make at 4000 rpm. That's kinda like my spool reference point.
Gary
My only disapointment so far has been the boost recovery. I have not used NLTS as I am a bit nervous about using it while I have meth injection running.
It should work now. The dip you see in the log was not completly tuned out. It is being caused by the meth coming on. But you will still be able to see that at 4k I am doing nothing.
Why are you nervous about running NLTS with meth? The 1G 2.0 with the S362 is on the Snow Meth kit and runs NLTS like it's his job. the boost pressure drops to around 10 PSI so he's either not spraying, or barley spraying any meth in @ all when the clutch is engaged. Dial in your meth settings and use it. Your car will be that much faster.
Ok I see it now. It is pretty late getting started, looks like about 90 hp at 4000 rpm. Sure goes out past 8000 real nice though.
How do you like the 3g lifters? Did you notice any differences after putting them in, like knock counts or anything different?
Gary
Tom, that B-W divided turbine housing you showed on the first page - is it a lot heavier than the Bullseye housing?
Gary
Heres an update from me on my end. I have a NET S256 with a .70 a/r t3. I have bee handed everyone their asses lately, from shelby cobras to zo6's. Link estimates my hp is around 504 hp and 387 ft/lbs. My 70-90mph times put me into the 125+mph range. I know this is all bench racing but I havent had a chance to go to the track. It you guys would like I can post a log.
P.S.
This is on 30psi and 93 pump gas.
spendone, do you guys still sell that divided T3 manifold made by JMFab for the Borgs?
That's actually what I was thinking about when I posted the question to 2gGSX about the weight of the twin-scroll Borg housings.
Are your mods pretty much as listed in your profile?
Gary
The manifolds are built to order, usually a 2 week lead time. You can contact them directly to order one
Tort is just slacking on getting his turd back together.
Thanks for the laugh, and the mod list!
I like the way that manifold looks, like a pile of snakes. Also like the idea of 1 wastegate for the sake of compact installation and lower cost. I'm interested in it more for use with an S256 or S258 actually, but Tort's results should be very interesting.
Gary
What a/r turbine housing is Tort using on there, and is it a regular off the shelf Borg-Warner divided turbine housing or something different?
Gary
