Alright, so I was tinkering around under the hood today and was looking for a place to relocate the fuse box. At first, I was trying to fit it where the battery/emissions canister thing used to be, but I couldn't really get it to fit good there. Anyways, I ended up finding a decent spot where the smic used to be. It fits good and everything, my only concern is the location itself. Will it be prone to getting soaked if it rains, etc? I was trying to find a relocation spot with minimal wire modification. I'm not scared to lengthen wires or anything, just didn't feel like doing that, ha. Where it is, I'll only need to lengthen the wires that go to the battery and maybe one connector. Let me know what you guys think or what I could do to prevent water from getting at it. Only other problem with this spot is this was where I was going to relocate the coolant reservoir.
I used the bracket from the fuse box's original location and it lined up perfectly with the tapped holes from the stock airbox (I think).
Here's a view from the front of the car and from underneath, showing the exposed wires and where I think the water will penetrate.
