Well I was going to sea foam from the bov vac hose and my stupid Bov nipple snapped off. So its time to upgrade:thumb:. LOL. So I "need" a new BOV, and intake:shhh:. So I wonder what BOV and intake to get. I was thinking about the "Dejon tool" intake. I just have the stock turbo, so I will probably need the 2 3/4 turbo lead ,and just get a mitsu hybrid turbo when its "breaks":shhh, so I dont have to change the intake again with a turbo upgrade. Also I am planning a FMIC with the upgraded turbo so that may play into the selection? I was hoping to keep it around $300 bucks for parts. So what do you think would be a good combo. I am also worried about getting the wrong bov for the new intake, as far as the mounting goes, with the way the the stock bov is mounted. What do you think?

Well for intake I would say ebay because after all its just metal. Go to the parts feedback section we have here. There is a write up on an ebay intake. Also for bov, i would say get a greddy type s. You will also need a connector for that because it will not fit stock. The connecter is a couple bucks on ebay.

ebay intake and 1g bov, should be below 100 dollars

Don't forget if you go with the 1g bov on that stock UICP for the 2g you'll need an adapter.

I wouldnt bother with an adapter, might as well get an aftermarket UICP that is flanged for a 1g bov. just my opinion though

Go to an evo forum and get a evo8 non mr bov. I have one and its awesome, holds 22 psi all day. I picked mine up for FREE! the nipple is 120 degrees clockwise from your stok nipple but the stock vacum hose reaches it. And doesnt require any modifacation to make it fit.

I'm also looking to upgrade my stock intake, BOV and IC piping, may I ask.. When you refer to an ebay intake, are you refering to a specific vendor, or a number of random vendors selling their products on ebay? ty.

Also may I ask a good place to get a 2.5" thermal turbo back? ty.

So how do you suppose that he mount his 1G BOV if he decides to get one? YES, you need an adaptor flange if you plan on using it with your stock UICP.

What i said was you might as well get and aftermarket UICP (RRE, Dejon) that is flanged for the 1g bov, since used UICP's can be found for cheap as well as the 1g bov. Because I'm pretty sure most people who mod their cars don't keep the restrictive, stock, UICP for very long. Might as well do it once and do it right.

Ebay SSAC fmic w/ 1g bov flange, 1g bov, ebay intake. All for less than $400.

Chop the elbow off of your t-25 to make it downfiring. Everything will fit. The turbo will be 'laggy' if that is possible for a t25, but that turbo is worthless anyways. This way you will be prepared for later. Do it right once.

If not buy an used uicp, 1g bov, ebay intake=less than $150

That's my setup right there. I used to have a Supra SMIC with a Dave Brode UICP, but that thing was a boost leak magnet.

If you do the above route, make sure you get the BOV and TB flanges decked. They're all warped when they weld them. Oh yeah, do the Dodgegarage mod on the 1g BOV.

How was the install, did you have to get new clamps and all that?

I was planning on upgrading my UICP when I upgrade my turbo, because I plan on getting a FMIC, so I was just going to keep it stock for now.

install was about as easy as it gets. everything is supplied so there is no need to get more clamps...

Cool thanks. I do have the stock t-25 turbo as of now, but I am planning on a 16g sometime soon. I am not sure if I want the Big, small, or the evoIII. And of course I am doing my supporting mods now, I just want to make sure I get the right stuff to handle what I have in mind. I am basically wanting to get 300 hp/trq, with good drive ability. I am still getting my research done...

Good idea on the EVO BOV. Since I am not changing my UICP right now that may be a very easy solution if I can find one.:thumb:

This may be a stupid question but when I replace the BOV with a stock evo BOV will that create any problems with my turbo system? I guess I am just wondering if this BOV that handles 18+ psi would still work for my stock boost, without a lot of bad back pressure? Or any other BOV upgrade that handles a lot of boost? Or do I need to up the boost at the time I get a new BOV?
