- I bought it from a woman whos son had given it to her. He had put a bigger turbo on it and hadnt tuned it and she drove it like a racecar. They faked some receipts, saying the bottom end had bee rebuilt. I took the car home and messed with the vacuum, put it all back where it went, and drove it for about 6 months, until the water pump went out. I decided to change the timing bekt while i already had it off, and stupidly didnt rent the tool to tighten the timing bekt. My girlfriend slipped timing on her way to work about 2 weeks later. It sat in my shop for anout 6 month until i could get the head rebuilt. Aftet i got the head rebuilt, i did an egr delete that i found on here. I put everything back together and my talon ran like a dream, except the timing bekt sould loosen after about 5 min of idle. I took it to a shop and they fixed my timing, changed a wheel bearing without my permission, and went around and plugged my vacuumines into other spots. I towed the car home and got it to run again, and a week later my transmission went out. Thats where its at at this point. Ive pulled the engine and tranny and the car is sitting outside. Im hoping to get input into building it into a strong, 600 hp car.
