- Background
- The car is a 1995 Eagle Talon TSi AWD, auto. Car was owned by a buddy of mine who loves 2G DSM cars. This is his third 2G DSM. He is missing one leg so he had to get an automatic to drive. When he got the car, the engine was destroyed. So he had AMS, who sent the engine out to a shop they use to work on building the 4G63 (not sure name of that company, they are located in Illinois). He did a blitz body kit on the car and the Rays G-Games which some Michelin tires. He also had an aftermarket steering wheel (brand unknown) and some after market seats with 4 point harnesses.
After a while his business grew and he was fortunate to make good money with it and picked up a few other toys. His garage was getting full and the Eagle was the vehicle that was going to go. I told him I wanted the car and so he gave it to me.
Since I got the car I have added a new double din head unit. Also added a reverse camera. Changed out the steering wheel to a DND 350mm steering wheel and fixed some other small stuff. I am currently waiting on manual swap parts to come in for the car. Still need to order a slave cylinder, master cylinder, clutch cable, clutch, flywheel, axles and driveshaft. I already have the trans on the way, also rear LSD diff, shifter assembly, Brake and Clutch pedals, short shifter, clutch fluid reservoir, with billet mount and cap for the reservoir.
Ultimately I am hoping to build a 11 or 10 second quarter mile car that I can also take to half mile or mile events, go to local car events that happen in the area and possibly some shorter cruises.
