I've been into dsm's since 2007 when I bought a 91 tsi awd. I've since owned 4 others including this 97 I purchased in late 2013. I bought it from a friend for $2500. He had lost the key and it sat for a while. It already had a pretty nice hx35 setup on it so I had some new keys made put a tune on it and I've been driving/modifying it ever since. It's my most modified dsm and by far my favorite of the 5 I've owned.
I've never really had any plans/goals for the car. I just like drag racing and having something to tinker with. I have a new drivetrain setup for this year that should hold up better than previous seasons, and if I can keep it together, I'll be looking to upgrade to a 6466.

This looks good, but my crackhead friend has a civic hatch that has 2400hp bro and he will take you on the race track bro. He can't get traction on the streets or the race track just one specific road with special grip. What's your car like only 500hp? (then Honda shows up and runs 16s) but sometimes his Honda beats bikes. You know when he catches them from launch. - Honda supporters

Thanks! I've taken the wrap off since those pictures were taken though. It's just ceramic coated now.

Extremely nice bay! Are you venting and recircing? Or is the dipstick capped off?

It sees -.8in/hg tops and that's when I'm cruising on the interstate. Most positive pressure I've seen is .7psi, that was around 32psi. I do not constantly monitor it though. Once crankcase pressure is positive the vented can just vents as well.

Interesting because that's how I have mine setup currently and I was thinking the only way to befit from a closed catch can setup was to cap off the dipstick tube vented can, I guess I'll have to do some testing on it. Curious if it would pull more vacuum with dip stick fitting capped.

I'm sure it would, but from what I can remember from Calans thread on the subject his sealed setup didn't pull more than like -1.5 or something. I don't think the turbine inlet could ever net alot of CC vacuum, but then again I don't think you would want a whole lot in there anyway. As long as pressure in there doesn't go too far positive all should be good.
As far as this setup compared to my old completely vented setup, it definitely works much better. The oil stays much cleaner.
