    Wrecked (minor): 8/26/2019
    Purchased: 1/4/2018. It was dumping oil out of the engine. I was lucky to make it home (no, I didn't have a trailer). The car was in nasty condition, its 1000% better now but I'm still working on it. I have been an influence on my friends and family with this car, they like DSM's now.

    can I make a suggestion, don't bother with rear disc brake conversion unless it's pure looks your after. The disc's actually weigh more than the drums and reduce acceleration slightly. I know this because once upon a time I had a neon I worked on a lot and was in the same place wanting disc brakes until I learned about unsprung weight and how it affects performance much more than sprung weight. then I started researching lightweight rims. that brings its own headaches though rims ain't cheap and I live in an area with too many potholes.

      Thank you for the info. I only wanted them for increased stopping power, that way in the future when I do auto-X and possibly dragging I can stop in time. But I've also read about how the drums stop better than the discs.

      I think I may just keep the drums and save some money.
