- It's not pretty but I saved it from getting scrapped, 92 Eagle Talon AWD TSI. Back sorry about the car, originally went with my former co-worker to purchase this car few years back. Poor car was stock and completely together sitting in this guy's front yard off to the side for 5-6 years. He said "the car won't start and I don't know what it is, not putting no more money into it". Intermediately found the problem, my co-worker said "is it worth it" I replied " buy it I'll have it running in a few minutes but buy it first". He was in disbelief but trusted I was right and signed the paperwork.
Now it's time for this thing to run, seeing the coolant temp sensor wire was broken and a CAS wire as well I temporarily patch it and car fired right up on bad gas. Both the new and old owner were shocked
I even managed to drive it out of the hole and down the street 
Put it on the trailer and back home southbound Massachusetts.
After that he began to fix the car, replacing all the necessary parts and gaskets. He drove it for a while but things happened, he made a life choice to leave his employment where we worked together and moved to a different location which I never saw the car again. At the beginning of June 2021 my buddy decided to buy this 1ga Eagle Talon TSI AWD and upon going to the gentleman's house to pick up the rest of the parts that was given to him for his car. As I came around the corner I saw something familiar, it was this car and recognized it right away. The poor car was in bad shape but not far gone, meaning it's not rotted. Unfortunately a lot of the stock parts were taken from this car but I had a idea, for years I wanted to build a DSM with all the spare parts I accumulated over the years and see if I can build it with little to No Money (maybe donated parts from friends or members).
I immediately asked if the previous owner has the title and is he willing to sell this as well as is. He said "Really?" I said "yup, I'm seriously interested in it". He got to work getting what I need paperwork wise and my other bucket list I wanted to do was race at my local Oval Track that host events of what they call "Spectator Drags" where 2 cars side by side race around a Oval Track in 1 lap. Unlike Drag racing it's a bit risky because you can make a mistake by hitting the wall or another car and all the cars I had are too nice to ruin so I never got the chance to race there. I've always said if I got a not so nice DSM AWD I would grab it and let it eat there, well this is my chance because this car is a perfect candidate for it.
In the early month of August 2021 I picked the car up, and began the project "No Money" and after a few long months here we are. She is not pretty by no means but she is ALIVE and has a second chance to do some fun things. As of right now she runs pretty good, drives ok need to work on some bugs, clutch is new but I dislike it very much which I need to swap it for a different brand clutch. She needs a tune, better suspension and etc etc. Will post progress and videos of it racing at the Oval Track and others as well. Maybe do a little drags, and short course racing as well. We will see what she does in the future
