- Found the car in a field after sitting for 5 years. Decided it was time to pick up another hobby and fix this one up. After getting it to my house came the realization that there was more wrong with it then I first anticipated. Cleaning off the dust I came to find out that the previous owner attempted to do his own wiring, and had managed to short out some of the wires that eventually caught on fire. Most of the wiring closest to the fire wall is melted plastic, and only half works (doesn't start the crank motor). Since getting it back I pulled half the burnt wiring harness, pulled the starter with the intent on testing the starter. Eventually the plan is to manually hook up the starter to a battery to test the engine for compression.
