Project Car Bought on a Whim

Mitsubishi Eclipse GST
  • Ownership Status:
    Turbo Type:
    Transmission Type:
    Build Type:
    • Street
None that I've done myself, though I bought it with a large FMIC, Injen intake, what looks to be an aluminum radiator, and custom radiator hoses.
I bought this car on a whim during tax season. My plan for it so far is to bring it back to its former glory.

LOL my sh** was leaking boost hella bad when i first got it. i know the pain. there's gotta be an simpler and smarter way to route that piping. that's definitely what i'd fix first on it. it really doesn't look like it needs much, a bumper and some paint. these things are great highway cruisers when they're not leakin boost, you can walk most people out there ya dig?

True story there. I'll be looking for a new intercooler, preferably with the inlet and outlet on the same side. That should definitely get my pipe route in order. Paint will be done next year around tax refund season, and the car came with a spare bumper, as well as a 3" cat back exhaust I need to install eventually.

Yeah, it does, as well as a really beefy intercooler. Though whoever installed it was definitely not smart... 2.5" pipe running under the frame below the turbo. Not enough clearance from the ground to the pipe. Its definitely bottomed out on the pipe.... and the damned thing keeps popping off at the most inconvenient moment. (IE: going 75+ in the far left lane on a highway... Pop... boost gone)
