- Purchased Dec 23, 2020. I am (technically not) the 3rd owner. My son, Talon, and I purchased this car to rebuild together. Title is in his name. 2nd owner bought from military man as a teenager 10 years ago and got busy with life, college, then family. It was at his parents place and they wanted it gone. Previous owner says the engine was rebuilt to be a tuner but engine and tran are still out of the car. Plan to rebuild as is. All body is original and never wrecked. We were not looking for a project but opportunity and price were right. It has everything except AWD. We know next to nothing about DSM and transverse engines but looking forward to it. Use as a learning experience until we can find a 2g AWD Tsi to be a family heirloom.
