- Background
- 20ish years ago I bought my first DSM, a 92 Laser RS and dropped an AMG engine in it. Had so much fun with my best friend beating up on V8's that I wanted an AWD turbo. Drove through a blizzard with him to Chicago to pick up the AMS block and then found the 90 GSX. Found out ALL about why that was the most difficult choice and bought a 2nd totalled 90 to break down for spares. Built the AMS block in his kitchen since it was the cleanest (unused) part of the house and invented the 'guess what's in my pants game', an all time classic, whenever parts would arrive. Drove the Moneypit/Looseal (Lucille) cross country to Washington, 2200 miles in 3 days (losing roughly half a day to blizzards and breakdowns).
