- I found the car on Kijiji for nine grand, but managed to talk the owner down to 7.5 before we even met. Meet the guy and the clutch is slipping, needs a new windshield, tires, front bumper, headlights, and had a lot of untasteful mods. Ended up leaving with the car for 5 grand. Two weeks later I was on a new set of wheels and a new clutch. The Evo 4 ecu is unflashable so my next to do was an E6 ECU with 560cc injectors. Ended up getting a used bumper in great shape for $300 from a local Evo owner. Found an E6 ECU and injectors. Had a ton of other mods I decided to install over a weekend (basically entire mod list). I'd used ecuflash before and done tuning with other software before, my step dad is friends with the owner of a shop an hour and a half away from me and they have an awd dyno. Spent a saturday there getting the car dialled in. Car was sitting at 329.3awhp and 316tq. Best pass in the qm is 12.3. The car is fast enough for me, awesome around the track, and the right hand drive end of it all is rather fun. Car has a weird mix of being a 2nd gen dsm and an Evo 8. The Evo 5-8 are basically all the same with little changes.
