- I came across the galant gsx on Craigslist out of everett Washington. No photos just a odd small list of bs. I went on looking for different adds and I found a duplicate with photos. So once I got to looking I noticed it had a non turbo 4g and it was awd. I had my 96 talon in a million pieces so I said eh screw it why not another one. I mean after all the guy is only asking 500 for it so why not.
So I eventually go and pick it up. Got it onto the u haul trailer and went on my mery way back to prineville oregon. Got it home unloaded it and went straight to trying to get it to start. Nothing. I gave up and went to bed. Came out later that night pulled the ecu and it was BURNT. No joke. So I ordered a 91 ecmlink v3 from a guy in Australia with a 91 gvr4. So the car was also sitting for well over 6 years. Brand new tires shot. Brakes. Shot. Everything was shot. Trunk was full of water. Me and the gf for 3 days cleaned and cleaned and tried to get the awful smell out. Finally its out. Fast forward a year i have crammed over 5 turbos on this car. First was a ebay t70. Blew that up in a week. Next up was a ebay hx35/40 hybrid. Broke that pretty quickly. I ended up selling the ecmlink before the car ever ran. So at this point I had moates ostrich in the car and using tuner pro rt. Absolute junk.
Then I had a h1c and didn't like it at all. Then I put on a hy35. And I blew up the motor with that guy.
Now I've built a quick budget build to get it running again and then sold the holset set up and saved up over time and picked up a borg waner s363 with wastgates downpipe and dump tubes and some other stuff. He was Kerry Robb out of Washington. Great guy to do buisness with. He's currently building a beautiful white gvr4 and it gives me a boner when I see it lol. So thats were the galant is now. It was used as a medical car for the rally races in Washington. Something called like club rally i think?
