- Background
- Grew up loving these cars, starter car every time I played gran turismo. I saw this thing come up on Craigslist a couple of years back with a smooshed hood, and a low mileage engine for 500 cad and figure what the hell. Next thing I know I’m knee deep in 420a hate forums, which brought me back to a friend of my dads and myself arguing, he saying it would be a bad candidate for a v6 swap, ten. Year old me being salty about it. And so I ended up down a rabbit hole that brought me to evo swaps, seems like a fun way to keep a classic car with a weak engine from becoming a block of metal. Plus the sound system yanks. Now here I am a couple of years down the rabbit hole, and I just snagged an evo 7 engine, which is the point I said I would allow myself to take apart the RS. But for a few months, I think I might insure it and cruise for fun since The build is long, and I’ve still got probably a solid 3 months of refurbishing before I’ll be fully ready.
