I got the car at the End of 2022 Summer since I stumbled on the car on marketplace and after much thinking decided to get out of my comfort zone and pull the trigger on a very ambitious project! I grew up around cars, my father got a Nissan r32 GTR that he imported from japan back in 2006 and he told me stories of me being in the "Passenger seat" in my baby seat and going for a drive, people would laugh seeing the car pass by hahaha. My dad works in the business and has\had many projects of his own at home so I always watched him work on his cars but never put much interest into it until I turned 18 years old. In the last 2 years I researched, watched and helped with many car related projects to learn as much as I could with cars and many platforms. My dad also showed me his abandoned project cars and engines and what not. Like his 1989 Dodge Colt that he swapped a 1990 Eagle Talon TSI FWD drivetrain into. I guess originality isnt my strong suit after all ;)
Anyways, I helped with building engine blocks and repairing various cars , installing coilovers, fixing rust, Taking transmissions apart, measuring clearances and just learning with my mechanic friends how to work on cars. (Huge thanks to them for keeping up with me and my questions) So when I got my own car I have a lot of confidence in myself that I will be able to restore and fix /modify my car.
The goal for this project is fairly simple. Take what is essentially a junky old car and turn it into an awesome STREET car that handles and drives great while still being fast. And with a simple removal of some interior bits and a wheel swap, be able to go to the local track-day and do track car stuff. (Mainly autocross/time attack style)
I'm not big into drag racing....
Amongst all this I also found a huge passion for photography and videography, so this will make me able to show visually as best I can the process of rebuilding this car!
