- Background
- This car was purchased by the last owner as a rust free shell in CA while he was in the Army, had it tuned and moved to Texas where the motor let go and ended up needing a rebuild. He had a shop do the rebuild and retune using the 2.3 stroker then shortly after moved again to Colarado where the last tune session was done. In 2018 he came to Maryland where he began to focus on other projects (a 500rwhp 300ZX TT and a gorgeous RHD MKIV Supra with plans of 800+) and the GSX was never retuned for elevation. Now the time has come for him to move yet again to serve our country and unfortunately the GSX did not make the cut to go with him, understandably so. I got a tip that he was motivated to sell and he lived maybe a 10 minute walk from my house, so I made the trip with an offer and took home my new garage queen. Plans for the car? Well I still need a garage for one... but in the meantime it will be getting a retune for elevation, oil change and tank flush, then time to fix up the interior and make it look slightly less racecar. But other then that I don't need to do much. #boughtnotbuilt
