- I bought the car In Ohio 2013 been basically looking at talons any chance i could get but never owned one to this point. The Ad said 500hp 1990 talon tsi I was always skeptical to buy someone else's build but in my City n surrounding area was very seldom to even find A talon let alone one that's not completely rotted out plus the vehicle being in the states 3 hours away which is nothing and me being in Canada & never have imported a vehicle before i was even more skeptical did not want to deal with the hassle. Anyway i went to go check it out Guy was Super cool ran over everything with me, everything checked it out i was already shocked cause id never been in a 1g Only drove a 97 tsi stock (that was a test-drive from a dealer :). He started it for the first time and i was beyond shook. I knew what the car is capable of just never experienced it so i told the guy to take me for a ride around the block. The Car was running a little over 600hp on E85 at the time. We got on the highway dropped it to third gear redlined it and the car got completely sideways on the freeway in my head i kept saying this car is Nuts i didn't even end up driving it just cause i was so shook about everything, we went back to his house discussed a few more things and i said ill think about it then drove home. The whole Drive back saying its too much car and that i don't need it etc... but it's AMAZING definitely fastest thing i have been in at the time. A week went by i started doing all the homework on importing a vehicle which is absolutely nothing to get done ... but ended up going back 2 weeks later drove it, finally got that feeling from the driver seat of AWD breaking traction on the freeway told the guy It's SOLD on the spot. Drove the car home that day biggest smile on my face as anyone would brought it across and it's been with me since. We Don't have easy access to e85 here so i Re-tuned the car on pump gas make's around 520awhp on 24psi. Don't plan to do to much to do to much to it, basically has everything i could want in it for a street/track car.
