- Background
- Rescued this from a friend, February 2015. I formerly had this build nicknamed "Kyuubi", but it has since changed to #Sleeper_Beauty. The tan/cream and black color scheme is a tribute to my military service, the purple is a splash of personality.
A lot of restoration has already gone into this car. A lot of engineering has as well. I do not like hose and worm clamps. Its my opinion, and only just my opinion, that any connection with threads will out last any other type - so that is all I try to use. I've also spent a large amount of time ensuring I can simply swap motors to and from my 1G.
Its difficult for me to set a goal right now. I want to be able to drive it to and from work every day (75 miles one way) and also be able to out-douche virtually anything else on the street. I'd like it to be safe for track days. Performance-wise, I don't know what I'll have to sacrifice to get the above reliability. I'd also like to be able to fill in my time slip info below before the end of 2020.
