- Background
- Previous owner purchased it new back in 1997.
An older gentleman who rarely drove it during a few summer weekends. He would visit often once I moved in nearby to talk and get advice as well as ask for help with mild maintenance. One night the oil pump seized and destroyed the timing belt, resulting in bent valves. No further damage. He did not want to deal with it and asked if I wanted the vehicle.
I rebuilt the engine and replaced suspension components (wheel bearings, ball joints).
Goal for vehicle is to simply enjoy it. It is a time machine, seemingly fresh off of the Mitsubishi show floor back in the late 90s. Everything functions perfectly, comfortable ride and turns heads.
I may lower the suspension and replace the stock rims but after purchased everything necessary to do so, am now hesitating.
