1G Will rear brake calipers from a 1990 work on a 1993 GSX?

I read some thread stating that theoretically they should interchange, but I was wondering if anyone could confirm first hand. It seems as though the 1990 rear calipers are easy to come by, where as the 1991-1993 are almost impossible to find. Thanks.

awd and fwd rear calipers are different on the 1g cars, awd are bigger, but to answer your question, some really early 90' awd cars had a smaller rear caliper setup then the 91-94 awd cars but they will bolt onto the 91-94 cars, you could also rebuild your old 91'-94' awd calipers possibly, rock auto sells the rebuild kits.

also rockauto can get the calipers for a 93 awd 1g dsm

Try adding it to the cart. It says that it is not available. Believe me I don't go to these measures until I have looked practically everywhere. This one seized up on me yesterday while driving and I just want to replace it. How much smaller of a caliper are we talking? Like slightly or a huge difference in performance of the caliper?

it was not that much of a difference from the later 90 ones, most of your stopping power comes from the front anyway just go with the 90 ones thats what I would do but you can get the left rear one on amazon that I posted earlier.

Can't find it on Amazon. I was able to find an early 1990 one that I ordered from a website. The last one actually. Will the brake pads be the same? I just put on new EBC yellows and those are not cheap. And is the car going to pull to one side if I don't replace both?

yes all 1g dsms awd and fwd used the same rear brake pads.
The fwd calipers will even bolt on, but the parking brake cables kinda crash into the rear frame so if you did use fwd 1g dsm calipers you would have to mod the parking brake cables some members on here managed it, but never really went into details.
