Going to have to replace my oil pump, ive heard and was planning on doing an oem mitsu one, but ive heard good things about the acl pumps, im trying to go go cheap as possible because the labor is $700 (work full time, school full time). I would delete the balance shaft as well, i only plan on a 300hp build.

But my question is what are the differences between all these, what would you guys recommend? would i need to purchase new gears as well?

it seems the jnz one doesnt come with the seals but they can weld the plug for the bse which is nice

stm is kind of expensive but could get whole kit and gasket for 379

I ordered an acl oil pump from real street a couple months back for like $79 (it seems they changed their price to compete with other vendors now though). I have not fired my car up yet but the quality seems exceptional. At least as good as the oem pump. It came with the gears installed and all new gaskets but not a castle plug. I wouldn't hesitate to run this pump but its really up to you now that its only $100 or so cheaper than oem.

Edit- If you do opt for the acl pump, check out extreme psi. They sell it for $188.

The scary bit is not what it looks like, but are the (1) tolerances correct, and (2) dimensions correct. Not running balance shafts eliminates two of the three shaft areas, but the centering of the main seal over the crankshaft surface is critical.
Plus, you know, quality of the aluminum. Some alloys cannot handle the repeated heat stresses and deform. Deformation spells failure.
Looks can be deceiving.

I'll believe in ACL pumps after they spend a season wrapping out to 9k+ in someone's race car. Until then you should buy OEM and don't try to go for this aftermarket knock off oem-wannabe remake crap.
