Finally found a set in MINT condition! I've been wanting to try out these wheels on a 2g for quite some time but could never find the right offset since most of these wheels go on Evos. This is a square setup and specs are 17x9 +35 on a 255/40/17 RS3 tire. Rims weigh 16.3lb each and for a comparison I lost 5lb at each corner over my XXRs even while moving to up to a wider rim and tire combo. Another win is that these wheels are big brake kit friendly, so no spacers are required! I went with a +35 offset because from previous experience that offset sat the wheel flush with the fender. However, these wheels even with that offset have some poke to them. Eh, I love them still! Anyways here are some photos of them. Enjoy (I need to lower the rear a bit more)

Looks good! How much clearance do you have to the rear knuckle? I ended up going with the 17x9.5 +32 tc105n's since I found a great deal and I was worried the 10.6" section width of the RS4's would be too close. (The RS3 section width is 10.2".)

That amount of poke is perfect. Hard to beat that wheel and tire setup

Theres like maybe 5mm of clearance in the rear so with your lower offset I'd say you'll be fine.

Good comparison. I already have the wheel/tire setup and have about 5mm of clearance as well with the +32 offset. On my 17x9 RE30's I have 4mm of clearance with 255/40-17 RS3's. So with the RS4's on a 17x9 wheel it would probably have about 2mm of clearance...that's cutting it close!

Those look awesome. I think the wheel gap you've currently got looks good, too.

That wheel design looks great! They poke out too far for my tastes, which is why I went 17x9 +45 RPF1's. Of course then with 255's, knuckle clearance becomes and issue, which is why I'm having mine modified in the same way Ec17pse modified his. Best of both worlds, wide tires with clearance and they don't poke out. Brake clearance becomes an issue, but the Wilwood Dynapro calipers have more clearance than stock due to the design and mounting.

I know this a bit old of old thread, but was wondering how the 17x9.5 +32 with 255s fit, and if you had any pics?

No spacers are required with 2gb rear knuckles and I think I have about 5mm of clearance. 2ga rear knuckles would be close. They have tons of clearance to the front AP Racing calipers. I didn't test before putting the ARP studs on, so I can't say for sure if they're required. The Hankook R-S4 255/40-17 tires have a very large section width (much bigger than the R-S3) and I wouldn't feel comfortable going wider.

Are your calipers about the same size as Evo 8 Brembos? And just curious where you bought the wheels? I can find the 17x9 +35s everywhere, the 9.5 +32s. Not so much!

I haven't compared directly, but they're meant for Evo's so they should be similarly sized. I bought the wheels new from an individual, not a company.
