2G No lift to shift

Yes I’ve done my research but I want to ask to make sure.
So my car is a 1999 I have three switch.
One for cruise other for idk and other for clutch.
Can I just ground the cruise control switch and it active no lift to shift.
Seen it somewhere. But can’t remember where it says you can do it

no lift to shift is a feature of third party ECU software, do you have it?

Yes I have Dsm v3

What I did is just grounded the cruise control switch
