New life for a 95 Talon

After some time away from DSM's, I'm back with another. My first DSM was the 98 TSi below.

I ended up selling the TSi, and it went through a couple different owners. It got neglected, and just sat for a long time leading to it rotting out beyond saving. However, through a lucky chain of events, I was able to obtain a clean, practically rust free '95 shell AND the now rotted '98 TSi. I was able to save some of the components off the TSi (suspension, transmission, driveshaft, transfer case, bottom end), so now the process of putting the puzzle back together begins. Goals for the car are to first get it back together and running, eventually I am wanting to use the car for autocross/track use.

Small update-

Replaced the passenger door to match the driver side.(Plus the white one had a hornets nest in the mirror which I found upon closing the door and seeing 4 or 5 angry hornets crawl out)

Installed the lowering spring on the passenger side. For some reason it had the lowering spring installed on the driver side, but a stock spring on the passenger.

Picked up my old hood which is in surprisingly great shape. Some may remember my "Spirit of Competition decal that I originally put on my TSi..owner after me put the rest on :-/

Removed the Eclipse taillights and put the Talon lights and rear bumper on

Getting the rear subframe/suspension put back in

That must be a common thing. My car was like that and my brothers 97 GSX, too.Weird.

Made some progress today, but also discovered the subframe isnt much good (after I bolted it all up of course)

Been a little while since I updated, so heres a few new pics.

Slowly piecing together a motor

Removing the rear subframe (again)

Bolted the bumper up just to get it out of the way for the time being.

Since the doors were swapped over from my old TSi, I need to swap the door locks from the shell into the TSi doors so the key works in them...
