Am I the only one that has issues shifting at high rpms with this clutch? I have been running this clutch in various cars for over 15 years. Before dsms I was into honda specifically and I dont remember having as many shifting issue with the b and d series transmissions. I guess what im asking is have any of you noticed that by switching to a multi-disk clutch these issue went away even with a stock tranny? Im also considering building a ppg dog box ...... the thought of destroying a 4k dollar jacks tranny doesnt sit well with me. I was looking at the act twin disk for the time being. What do you think about this clutch?

What condition is your transmission in? DSM transmissions aren't known for liking high rpm shifting. Running the correct (Mitsubishi) gear oil in a freshly rebuilt trans has helped mine more than anything. I use a ACT 2600 pressure plate with a slowboy racing kevlar street disk...with a XACT flywheel (11.9lb)

Whatever you go with, less rotational mass on the clutch assembly should make the syncro's job easier. So if a multi plate is significantly lighter weight, probably does help. I have never used one though so just theory to me.

The simple answer is yes. Many over the last 10 plus years have reported swapping out old ACT single disk clutches for twin disk setups and instantly have better shifting all around, not just high rpm shifting.
