there is a 2.2 sitting on the shelf. was worried about ruining it during the "wire harness conversion , get it started and running on turbo ecu" phase..then once it was running good on the 2.0 I realized some tuning was going to be next. didnt want to start that and worry about hurting a hard to find good stock bore block. and third as I was building the 2.2 I was thinking maybe the 2.2 would be better for my evo 1. and maybe a 2.3 would be better for the auto. baby steps.

spent a tremendous amount of time pondering my fuel injection game plan. my evo 1 has been running a dual fuel setup of my own design for last four years. it consists of 780cc primary injectors running on 93 octane. and two 650cc E99 secondary injectors that turn on at 4psi and mirror the duty cycle of the primaries. this allows no special tuning. you just need to be aware of where your turn on point is in the fuel map. then just tune as normal. I had originally planned to just copy the setup but use four 335cc injectors spraying eth. but there were some things about that I didnt like. primarily very limited to injection amount and the fear if one injector fails only one cylinder goes lean. far better to have all four cylinders go lean if one of the ethanol injectors fails. plus I really wanted to try a small injector pre turbo. so here is what I have come up with.

primary injectors 650cc at 4bar fuel pressure.
two secondary 650cc at 4bar.
one 178cc pre turbo. at 6bar
secondary injectors will be staged. 650/178 at 4psi as before. then trigger last 650 one or two fuel cells later ~10psi

the evo 1 runs ~e37 or there abouts
this system will run around e43 with better atomization.

pretty excited to see how it works. the wildcard being the pre turbo injector. waiting for the rest of the parts to arrive.

What does the second half of your fuel system look like? Pump? Tank? I've been thinking about this for my daily beater GGSX. I have an Evo3 intake I modded to run a second set of injectors. Thinking about running a set of 190's of 450's on a separate fuel system straight ethanol. Not sure how much tank I need, or where to put it.

dope setup! I think Kevin Jewer has fuel rails and injector bosses welded onto his compressor housing similar setup not sure if its methanol or ethanol, either way super cool gives me some ideas.

my first attempt at composite speed density intake pipe using 3M casting tape. came out pretty good. took about 2.5 hours to make this. I learned a lot. its 2.5 at the turbo and tapers to 3.5 at the air filter. feather light compared to current MAF intake set. pipe weighs ~5oz.

saw his video before I started this project.. couldnt use his mold method as mine tapers from 2.3-3.5.. this is intake pipe for speed density. pin holes wont matter.

okay yea it wont matter, if you used it as a charge pipe then we both know it will leak and pip off unless you make a ring at the end

You gotta change your image uploading site! Its putting in weird links and some kinda porn thing, just upload them directly from your comp!

updating my thread here to motivate myself. pulled the car into work space to get some stuff done . progress stopped when I discovered the ECU relay was wired wrong. it did not provide five second delay at shutdown. the ECU needs this delay to be able to tune. changes to tune are lost at shut down without it. no one could tell me where this delay comes from. so it became this intimidating wiring nightmare to diagnose and correct. hating to work on wiring problems I pushed car to side. then as car sat I became over whelmed with all the things this car needs to be considered close to finished. time to make some progress.
1. correct ecu wiring
2. wire-in boost activated blue wire mod
2.5 install Defi advance ZD, additional sensors to monitor trans temp, pressures and IC temps.
3. install primary fuel system. evo X injectors and pump
3.5 convert to speed density and tune drivabilty
4. remove trans to fix LSD whine.
5. install secondary fuel system tune for power.
6. finish modifying fr bumper. paint.
7. epoxy foam fill chassis.
8. rebuild rear suspension.
9. upgrade brakes
10. convert rear LSD setup.
11. finalize exhaust setup (remedy 3500rpm drone)
12. modify suspension for better handling.
13. enjoy the xxxx out of driving the car.

Cannot wait to see more, maybe it will motivate me to get back to mine. I really like your solutions to problems, it's nice to see thought applied to problems rather than dollars.
