Well here is the background story, back in middle school i decided my dream car was gonna be a 2g Mitsubish Eclipse. at the age of 20 (about 6 years later) i finally found one! it was a 96 eclipse RS, manual transmission, stock engine, stock exterior and interior, etc etc. i got out of my racing dream seeing as its not a turbo model so i decided to go the other route which is sound. ive been working on this project since 2011. so this build log will have some catching up but i do have tons and tons of pics of the build up to this day, im still working on my car, her name is Virtue, even now. its a daily driver/show car build. i just wanted to show off, itll take awhile to get all pics uploaded but ill start anyways. enjoy the build and if u have questions feel free to private message me and ill answer or help u out

Well i had a small setup before i started the big project so i tooke everything out to start a clean slate and so i started with the boring but important part... sound deadning

Getting Virtue painted in her signature paint scheme, it is a Metallic Silver Sky
42.jpg

got my new signal cables and volt meter for the project
48.jpg

finally got my car back and ready for the build
54.jpg

55.jpg

here is the first of 3 sheets of MDF that ill be putting inside Virtue, the first step is to build the bottom plate for the compression chamber
56.jpg

2 hours later the first sheet is gone
57.jpg

here is a pic of the bottom plate. it is double layer wood so that is now effectively an 1 1/2" thick. i used bolts to compress the wood together and keep it in one solid piece
58.jpg

pulled out the second sheet to make the walls, so i just have one sheet left and a 4" pipe for the ports
59.jpg

cutting into the second sheet
60.jpg

got the walls for the compression chamber made
61.jpg

now finishing up the top plate and making the face plate bracket walls
63.jpg

a view from the front seat
64.jpg

the box is almost done
66.jpg

a pic of the top of the box
67.jpg

pulled out the final sheet of MDF and about to make the face plate for the sub and ports
68.jpg

my cut out marks

pulling out the T2 in preparation to install it

a pic of the cone
72.jpg

just to give a sense of how big this sub is. it also weighs in at 60 pounds
73.jpg

got the face plate made! it is also double layer of course
74.jpg

i got the faceplate attached on the box
75.jpg

another pic of the faceplate
76.jpg

got the ports cut
79.jpg

the finished product of the box
80.jpg

stage one is now complete and stage two is ready to start which entails fabricating custom rear panels
and the amp rack

well to start off stage 2 i ran a 0 AWG wire from the front battery to the rear battery. i decided to try my hand at soldering too
81.jpg

go the wire setup at the front battery
82.jpg

getting the wire run thru the interior
83.jpg

i ran the wire thru firewall next to the steering wheel
84.jpg

got the back seat taken out
86.jpg

got the back panels out
87.jpg

getting a test fire with the amp rack and battery setup
88.jpg

got the lips attached to the rings, I actually just went to home depot and bought some garage door sealer and then stapled it to the rings LOL but it works
101.jpg

got the uneeded fleece cut out and the speakers mounted and wired up. I'm wiring them to so they will present a 2ohm load on each amplifier output
119.jpg

Here is the relay I'm gonna use to have the stereo turn on all 3 amps. its a single throw relay so the stereo will turn this on and then the relay will draw power from the battery to activate the system and I have it fused with a 1 amp fuse
