here's a crazy idea. what if i cut the flange off my intake manifold, opened the tb side up and had a larger flange welded on; one that allowed a larger tb? just trying to get the best of both worlds. My buddy welds professionally so i can get this done for cheap/ nearly free. would it be worth it performance wise?
 
The only reason to do this would be if you could prove that the throttle body was a restriction in your setup. The part of the stock manifold that "sucks" is not the throttle body opening, it's the plenum itself.
