I just installed the kit into my 2G.
The instructions sent with the product are a little unclear so I am going to clear it up
- 1St this is the new version 2 kit -
1. You DO NOT need the OEM starter plate
2. Make sure the dowels are not in the transmission before you try to install the motor.
3. The bearing for the crank is install with the side with the lip facing out (The flexplate sits perfectly in the gap)
It is a very easy install (once everything is put on correctly)
* Also remember that this will move your engine over about a 1/2-3/4" to the right. I tried to install the block with the OFH and waterpump pulleys on... I had to remove both of them to get the added space.(Not so much the OFH, but I definatly needed to take the pulleys off)
