I always find shifting at 2-2.5k to be the best for fuel economy and when the rpm's get down to 1.5k I down shift making sure to rev match when I'm doing it. rev matching's a very good skill to have, and so is learning how to "engine brake" as it save your brakes from added wear.

LOL i had to LOL, I know it is not useful but it is a 420A car. if the mods want they can delete this post.
