Hi
im new here, and im going to be using a holset HX40 on a different car, its a 5cyl 2.2 audi engine.
I have already ordered the T3 0.70AR hotside to go along, and the turbo is going to be a 7blade super 40.
Now unfortunatelly, most of the cmp.maps i see online to compare come in lbs/min and the ones i have found on several forums reguarding the holset turbos come in maf flow or kg/sec.
I have doubts when i see this map: as at the bottom it says kg/sec but on top it shows lb/min.BUT shouldnt the lb/min be much higher than the kg/sec that is at the bottom of the graph?
essentially i cannot understand what is the max flow of this turbo from the map, although i read lots of reports on the mitsu engines and it's potential.
Reason i ask to clarify if there is a different map that i can look at,is the fact that for the beggining i want to go easy on the turbo as im not going to be replacing my clutch disc, and this one can hold up to around 600Nm torgue (crank),so i know that the HX40 can produce much more on the 5cyl engine, therefore i will have to tune for the lowest safe boost at start.
