Your heater blower is working, but the air coming out isn't hot?

DSM heater cores are full-flow, all the time. The core's hot as soon as the coolant is. When the heat is turned "off", there are air doors that divert the ventilation air around the core.
The two most usual causes for low or no-heat are a thermostat that isn't closing, or a large amount of air in the cooling system. DSMs do not hold air in their engines, but if the coolant level is low, you will not get heat from the heater core. If your coolant expansion tank (referred to incorrectly as the "overflow" tank) or the tubing to it has any leaks, you will suck air into the cooling system.
A failed water pump impeller has also been found, on rare occasion, to be the cause of a no-heater condition.
If the heater air control doors are jammed, disconnected or mal-adjusted from the control dial/levers, you may not get flow through the core, and no heat.
