Car looks great man, youve come along way, love it. Going full "race car" now are ya?

Hopefully this summer we can do all that body work to match the engine bay I made!

following

Thanks man! I wouldnt consider it full "race car" because its still going to a fully streetable car. Its just with the car going to breaking into the 10s in the near future (hopefully finally!) im going to need some kind cage to not get kicked off the track. Also just for some added protection in the event in a street accident.

It really is. Im still pondering how i want to do my rear bars. I did kind if want some kind of functionability out of the rear seats but i dont think im going to get it. Ive thought about totally eliminating the top completely but i do also drive the car in the rain so thats out of the question.

Got a little more done in the last couple days. Rear seat and seat belt brace removed, ill be making a much lighter configuration to hold the rear seat in place.

Excuse the duct tape, i couldnt get it to stay in place and be able to tack it at the same time. First rear bar bent, trimmed and in place. Its going to be difficult to mirror it with the other side.

30* bend to clear the top in the down position.

Plates just tacked in. Need to borrow a torch to form it to the strut tower.

Got a little time to work on the car this past week. I got the drive shaft tunnel plates formed to the floor, got my harness bar bent and in, and one tunnel bar in. That one needs a little more fitting but its really close. In still on the fence if i want to pull the dash and wiring to get the front plates and door bars in. I might save that until next off season since im running out of time! But heres a couple pics!

Suppose i can give a little update with the little time i get to work on this turd. Wideband sensor and front o2 sensor somehow both took a crap at the same time. Ordered replacements, ordered a 3 in 1 small pipe bender for brake lines and such that i need to finish my interior just havent gotten around to it yet. Top was installed dispite not getting a new one yet. Thought about installing the flexfuel sensor just havent had time haha and played phone tag with Tim Zimmer for about a week trying to order my twin disk. But heres recent pics.

Well been a while since my last update. Havent really done a whole lot to the car except drive it and some minor things. Havig a 5 month old takes a lot of car time away. I still have a clutch to put in before i hot the track. However i did find time to get the car to a dyno day yesterday. I hoped to have the car on 100% e85 by the time i went up but it didnt work that way. I managed to get about 50% or so and had a tune thrown at it while we where up there.

Stock 7 bolt, BC272s and springs
Single rewired 255 and rci2200s
T/s hx35 ~31psi
Netted me 473/464awhp!!

Not bad for 50/50 e85 and 93oct and a pretty conservative tune. image_zpsxitqig5i.jpg

100 miles on the quarter master. First impressions, this thing is friggin amazing!! Very stock pedal feel. Only things that threw me off were the very short pedal throw and pretty grabby from a stop. I couldnt adjust the pedal down far enough for it to "max out" at the floor so I had to be careful not to overextend the pressure plate the first couple drives, so that was tricky. I managed to fab up an adjustable floor stop and get it all adjusted. As of now this thing is just like any other clutch. Im used to leaving from a stop so I dont notice it being so grabby. Also with the lighter assembly and fluidamper this thing rev's so damn fast! Did a short part throttle 1-3 last night and my god!! I think launching will be a little tricky but thats why I stayed on street tires!
