just finished a rebuild on my edz using the stock srt4 pistons and rods with clevite bearings and a .025 reground crank. seems a little more fuel hungry under boost with the lower compression but overall I think its gonna be a real dependable setup and i would rec. this setup to anybody for a budget build :)

Budget swaps are for Honduhs : p. Yea the 8.0 CR your running now will be More fuel hungry b.c its mking the motor work more, your loosing turbo Efficency , but thats a "production" car for ya. Ouch on the crank Journals, I wouldnt push more then 300 ish with that.. What are the Tollerances you used for the Clevites? Did you use the HX, H or P series? That will also limit you depending on what you used and Toleranced. I guess i shouldnt say Limit, more of , define Freqency between rebuilds : )

Got her ready for her first show. Took 2nd in best Domestic.

yeah yeah yeah not the super cool xxxxx$ build glowryder is able to pull off but its a great running beast. mains are at .002x rods are at .0015 ptw was .030 give or take a lil. ring gap was .020 top and bottom. I dont care if anybody else would have done this build different it is only ever gonna see 12psi on 440cc injectors. its on a stock 2.0 n/a ecu and doesnt even throw a code unless it sits at its lopey idle too long (p0300) so I must have done something right.

My boosted 420a is slow at 10 psi with 450s and a sfmu...I musta done something wrong. Best time was a 16.1 when i should be in the 14s!

what was your reaction time and 60ft? how good is the power getting to the ground? whats your afr under full boost? why are you only running 10 psi at the track? oh and by the way this thread is about the edz not the 420a so text me or send a message

agreed, you should be in the 14s.. even a poor reaction will not cause that slow of a time. My guess is your super rich. What are you even tuning with? I know you were going to go MS. Hes ###### running 10 b.c of the SFMU...

Too rich like i thought.. You need to be carefull, your on the line of washing your walls. Is it 10.5 , or is the AFR guage too pegged rich it cant read any more.. Thats an issue. You can try lowering your static FP. what are you set at? 48 Psi? IIRC i ran like 35 Psi to get me a good 11.5 ish afr when i used SFMU on my 420aT.

You could use you MS to piggy back and controll fuel only.. it would be better then the SFMU you have now..

I think if you have ms at your disposal then best bet is to use it to its full potential.

if not using ms then regaurdless of hp or boost your stock clutch is still good for a low 14 in the 1/4 if you raise boost by 1 or 2 psi and check your afr then with the same amount of fuel going through it you should be running a little leaner.... just not dangerously lean

Well there was one time i ran it for a little at 9.9 rich in boost. i really hope i didnt wash my walls. If i did im giving up. How would I tell if I did? Im done with the sfmu ms is getting wired in

I bet the car is quick, its legit! Well I lowered the raise rate in the sfmu and im at 10.5 i think but I pulled the head to change the head gasket and im pretty sure im gonna wire in ms while im at it.

very nice build glowryder, that intake is looking good sir..... cobo chil with talking about your car in this thread as its glowryders build thread..... and your turbo is not a "92mm" turbo sir... that would be just dumb on a 4 cylinder. if u want to know how big your gt45 clone is (im guessing 74mm) take the compressor cover off and measure the inducer diameter with a vernier caliper. whatever your reading is, is what size your turbo is and should be called by.

mike

Nice calipers! I decided to go ahead and put mine on. You plan on getting a 3G master cylinder? Got mine (MC & BB) on fleabay for cheap.

sir that knows nothing about my car you tell me with your expert advice what size the turbo is.

here are the specs and dont forget to click the link below for pic of actual turbo.
Compressor Size: Inlet = 4 3/16", Inducer = 68.7MM, Exducer = 97.8 MM, Trim = 69,A/R = 0.66, Intake (ID / OD) = 2.25" / 3.25"

Turbine: Outlet = 4", Turbo flange = T4, Downpipe flange = 3.5" V-band, Inducer = 87.4 MM, Exducer = 77 MM,Trim = 92, A/R = 1.05

and btw if i said 92mm i was mistaken its 92 trim and anything i said about my car after my first initial comment was just defending myself against all the idiots that refuse to stop speaking negative

Theres a few in my build log. Im actually making a kit so that others can do this as well.

Not yest, they are still in prototype. Im getting the dwg done, test fit on an eclipse ( you may have to delete your corner marker, not sure if people will be down for that..this is the hang up so far.. we havent found a good and cosmetically pleasing work around other then deleting the side marker. ) then hit the open market. hopefully in spring.
