I'm confused, didn't you post a bunch pics after an event that you won where an Asian guy was holding a trophy in every one? I thought that was you?

Nice feature! Thanks for the shoutout! It would be nice to see it stay 5 speed but good luck on the 8's quest. I'm on my way there too now, just at a much slower pace!

You're welcome. After my building and racing my Talon, I don't think I could ever stick with a 5spd for heads up racing.

I should have some nice updates next weekend to post.

    Random question.

How does the evo 2 drive/handle compared to the DSM?
How does the evo 2 drive/handle compared to the EVO 8/9? (I understand there is a large tech difference)

I know most of the 1-5 evo are right under 2900lbs, which makes them awesome for power to weight. Just have always wondered how they drive and feel.

very cool car by the way!

I don't have any way to compare how they handle unfortunately. The sway bars on the evo 2 have been removed so its pretty sloppy taking turns haha. It honestly drives really similar to a stock DSM.

I will say the evo 8/9 is way more refined than the evo 2. You feel more connected to the road. It's a totally difference experience all around. The shifter and transmission feel very precise and better engineered. I daily drive an EVO 8 with minor bolt ons/e85 with coilovers.

I hope that helps. And thank you!

Acquired some items over the last couple weeks.

    Whalen speed 2g transmission
    3000GT rear diff
    Precision billet converter
    Kiggly flexplate & 2g 6 bolt adapter

The transmission came out of a friends car. I'll be using this one while I have my other trans built with straight cut gears and a billet drum.

Shooting to have the drivetrain buttoned up by late November. The car will probably not be running until December or after the new year as I'm changing the turbo kit and some other misc stuff.
