Very good work, my friend. Starting to look like a restoration as well.
You could say that, everything is old and the old coatings and zinc all starts to fade, and caps leak so it possibly is part restoration, i just like everything to be in tip top shape and visual is a good part of the rebuild i guess.

Thank you, its a long process but its well worth it

Another parts update,

my twin MC booster delete kit came in, adjustable bias bar and adjustable brake pedal arm. Not as great as new pedals but its easier to do and i can always upgrade pedals later on.

My new waterpipe has been welded up and blocked off all water ports and then sent to have a gold zinc coating on,

My PC680 battery with circuit breakers and bracket arrived last month and this is going in the footwell of the passenger side. More room in the bay and not needing super long wires running through the car.

Will be a while till i get it all put in and new rear lines made, running them through the car instead of underneath, im hoping before christmas

Why zinc coating? Just for looks or does it serve some practical purpose?
Both, It looks nicer and beats the stock silver and it also protects the outside from rust aswell just like the zinc plated bolts, they go bad after a while and oxidize but it takes a while for that to happen. the insides wont rust so they did not do the internals.

If it was readily available i would have done it nickel coating but its hard to find the process here unless its massive bulk work, plus i love nickel coating better and the right color it looks badass. But i will settle for this

Did some exhaust work today! because im wanting to make the car as flat as I can for aero I redid the rear section of my exhaust, this means I now have a clear run for my rear diffuser when i get around to building it, along with the front splitter too.

Since my last update things have taken a turn in the road and now im aiming to compete i the UK time attack series in 2018! so ive recently been worming out what I need as i plan to have it ready by the summer next year ready for testing! ive got aero planned and some bought and I had to get some kind of shift option as im auto so thats being dealt with and all will be updated with pics once i ha e them in my hands to get pics of.

For now its just the exhaust that i have done. how it used to look vs the new look, dont worry the rain-light is being binned and the bottom is being chopped off and the new rain-light is going in a custom housing where the eclipse section is between the tail lights so it does look weird now but it wont once i get around to doing the other parts to the rear end

Enjoy.

My Fia Time Attack light showed up today, in the UK they have these to warn others when your on a hot lap and auto switch on/off with your headlights, to run in the TA series I must use this or I cannot go on track,

not much else other then the exhaust has happened lately, Ive swapped sring rates in the coilovers so the front now has 784 LBs and the rear has 672 LBs! I did this because I felt the rear was very soft and lets use the word polite! it needed more aggression!!! it now feels alot nicer and still very comfy to use on the roads, (most wont agree) rebound is set low at the moment as im resetting them all again. ride height has also been raised up 1/4" as we got so many speed humps I struggle alot LOL.

Another part of this update is my bumpsteer kit is no plated and I will be doing a video over Christmas of the oem tie rod ends vs how these new ones ive designed work and how much bump steer I can cancel out!

Its Christmas day and it would not be the day without some stuff to make or do on this very day!!!

Since i had my FIA/time attack light i wanted to mount it so i took my old center light housing and made a nice cutout for it to recess into! I wanted to keep the red but as it vibrated it had a small crack in it so i decided to carbon wrap it so its covered up! Not real carbon i know and i hate fake carbon but fir this its ok and function over form now LOL.

Have a very Merry Christmas all and happy Tuning in the New Year!!!

Nice job with the rear bumper exhaust cutout. Thats a heck of a job. The car has no mufflee I would assume. Not sure but ia the gas tank still there?
It has nothing LOL just straight pipe and a Y at the back. The oem gas tank is there still but thats also next on the list, im making a smaller tank and it will be thinner then i can have the center pipe go underneath it, its going down to a 10gal or 40 liters but its much needed

Was fun to do and build as its super different and boy i love the sound it makes!

Made my coolant overflow tank today, well one of them! Because im not using water and evans waterless coolant its exepensive so im making a 2nd tank lower down to catch any if it does drop over the top port so this way i can keep any that escapes and save on some coolant.

I had issues resetting up my tig machine as ive been playing with the settings alot but towards the end i got it pretty good again but its ok, function over form LOL i will redo this at somepoint in the future though LOL

So the aero begins!!! Welcome to my NEW SM132 wing! Designed by Simon McBeath and wind tunnel tested at Mira it's one of the best single element wings going!

it stands at 1664mm wide and it has a 300mm chord. Data is here http://www.sm-designs.co.uk/pdfs/rear-wing-data-for-web-apr16-2.pdf

I went with the SM132 because it offers a wider range of downforce over the others and as i progress I can adjust to suit my needs and ability plus its a great dual element setup when you reach that level!

brackets will be 6mm aluminum and mounted from the rear bumper support holes with custom made brackets and 2 bars running inside to the rollcage when its built to add extra support!

I love the work you did on the oem fans, compressor housing and everything else. Awesome work, I do not like many english/british cars, but I love watching guys like you across the pond build race cars, super dope work!

Why thank you, I'm just trying to be different and build it the way I want it, I love to modify stuff as much as I can to make it better or make stuff easier to work with, so like the OEM fans and 16g comp housing, made them better and easier to work with!

Believe it or not this time last year I was only building this car to replicate a time attack car! Now I'm building it to compete in 2018!!! Crazy how a few months can go from 1 end of extreme to the other haha.

I'm glad you enjoy the work I'm putting into it! Makes me happy I'm making you all happy to view and read it

some more updates on my steering wheel!!! getting the wiring done soon then for testing! boy this is one sweet steering wheel setup!! David from TrackFormula has really done his thing on this and its amazing! So glad I could get one of his creations!
