I have a 1999 Eclipse GS with a 420A motor and I wanted to ask what is the size of my gas tank. My gas light has never turned on before. I fill up right as the needle touches the middle of the E in my gas gauge and I get around 10.5-11 gallons in my car before the gas nozzle clicks and the car says it's full.

Edmunds.com says I have a 15.9 gallon tank. DSM forums are all over the place with their numbers.

At this point I'm pondering a few thing. Does my car have a 12-13 gallon tank? Is my sensor broken? Why doesn't my gas light come on? How do I check these things?

Your owners manual will have your tank size in it. Also, if you can find the chassis and body manual, it is in there.

Looks like 17.0 gallons.
