I don't jump on here much anymore, it's been years since I've owned a DSM, these days I drive a Galant VR4 and my wagon project in the summers.

Now that it's winter and the car is in the garage, ready for minor changes, I have some downtime and I can post about if. If anyone was at shoot out this year or at MOD in the midwest, you probably have seen it.

Love it!

Is it bad I didn't notice the FMIC until halfway through the pics?

Cool car.

Cool car.

It's a good thing in my opinion since I didn't want it to stand out.:D

Very cool. I have never seen a galant of this vintage. I've didn't even know they made wagons. This is a very cool car I love everything about it.

Wow looking over the pictures again I love this car so much. I love the roofline. Most of these older Japanese wagons all look the sawn. The galant has a very unique body. AWESOME CAR!

Mitsu got it's start in america with Dodge, bringing the Galant in under the name "Colt" and bringing the Lancer in under the name "Plymouth Arrow"

I've also got a 76 but the girlfriend drives that, and then recently picked up a 74 coupe GT, originally wad a 4G32 (1.6) but we put a 4G52 in it (70's 2 liter)

This is my brother's 78 turbo 4G52 megasquirted Lancer (aarow)

All of the cars are rear wheel drive, all of them accept 4G63's with their stock transmission, the aarow is an auto chysler 904 trans (similar to the old 727) and will hold a lot of power.

What brake booster and intake manifold did you use?

Stock brake booster, evo 8 intake manifold, injector bungs welded shut, milled smooth.

I then have a 3/8 transitional flange to bring it up to the size of 1g intake ports, I will eventually change to a 2G head so the evo intake ports will match up.

I'm also changing to an evo 8 16g to clean up the turbo side.

One of my favorite cars at the shootout this past year! Congrats on an original, well executed build.

Thanks!

Thank you to everyone else that has liked the car.

#badass!!!!

Thanks for posting up pictures. It's rare enough to see an old colt/galant let alone a station wagon.

Wow that's awesome. Very cool looking car! Didn't notice the fmic until someone pointed it out LOL

Did you convert cable to hydro clutch?

Still Cable clutch, using a 1G FWD flywheel and exedy pressure plate, then a 3G V6 disc. holding up great.
