ok so where to start. ok so i used to own a 90 tsi awd it was my first dsm ever my dream. i bought i for 900 spent a ton of money on it bringing it back to original condition. finaly got there and got to drive it for about 6 months and my oil pump went out going up a pass and seized the engine. got pissed and sold it for 750. regretted it every day seince. it was super clean on the outside and interior.

ne way ive been surching for another project seince and one fell into my lap. my mother met a guy and was talking cars with him when my love for dsms got brought up. turns out this guy has a 92.5 talon awd sitting at his house that lost oil pressure and had a wrist pin seize up on him. says hell sell it for 300 bucks. im all over it. i meet up with him at his house and the car is VERY rough interior is shit and body is shit it was actually burnt in a fire LOL. says hell throw all his spare parts in with it. i bought and had it towed to my dads land to work on it. so the car came with 2 spare engines both 6 bolt blocks:hellyeah: one partaly dissasembaled one fully dissasembled. so take the dissesmbaled block and grab all the internals that went with it took it all to the machine shop for inspection the block was great not out of round or any thing just needs honed. crank needs turned and rods need reconditioned. and thats where i am now waiting on the machine shop. ill keep updating as i go but i wont be able to work on it often as the car is a hundred miles away at my dads land so i am gathering the parts i need to start assembaling the engine. tommarow i will be going to my dads to pull the 7 bolt out of it and clean up the engine bay. ill post pics of that this week end but for now here are some pics so far.

ya its gona be long project so far i think i might leave it how it looks LOL strip the interior and hit the track and see what times i can post on stock motor with lots o weight reduction and then start modding. LOL my plates are gona say 1uglydsm she'll be a sleeper there are lots of hondas here and almost no one knows what a 1g is when they look at it ive had severaly people ask me if my last 1g was a saturn. id say yes and ask if they wanna go to the track LOL but some day ill fix the body up again but ive always wanted a 1g for a track car and a 2g for a dd.

ok so the engine pull didnt go quite according to plan every thing is disconnected but couldnt get the engine out. not enough clearance in the bay to separate it form the tranny and pull it out the top. the pullys were still on but it dosnt look like theres enough room even if i took them off. any suggestion or does it have to drop through the bottom.

P.S. ill post pics soon im sure you will get a kick form what i was using to try and pull my engine out my dads engine jack was shot so we tryed using his home made crane.

Personally I prefer to drop the transmission out the bottom and then pull the engine out the top. I find that doing it that way is easier than keeping them together and pulling them at an angle. Never even considered leaving the transmission in to pull an engine. As for pulling it with the right equipment I used a tractor last time and did it all in the dirt and snow. My picture shows where it was pulled.

To the "Title of the Build", you need to start somewhere! LOL I can dig it, good luck with everything. :thumb:

compaired to my old 90 this ones very ugly my 90 was CLEAN. but this new one is my favorite body style and she will be beautiful some day. engine, drive terrain, suspension THEN body

ok heres some pics of us trying to get the engine out. also a plus turbo is in good condition minus all the grim. also a pic of my old 90
